Number of items listed this week: 28Good week on Ebay for me with a lot of new, discontinued and/or hard to find items selling quickly. I have so much in the used piles and now you are saying your coffee mugs are doing well. I can’t decide what to list next. My day job is slowing and hope to hit it while covid sales are still good.
We are still locked down here as there is a federal prison in our county with a giant outbreak. I’ve been reading about transmission and I’m feeling ok to drop off at FedEx so I’ve reactivated the larger items. They even have the door propped open. One of the indy thrifts is doing curbside sales and posting on Craigslist and Insta, but it’s mostly furniture and large stuff (not that I need to source). Our personal choice is not going anywhere that isn’t necessary even though cases are very, very low in our city and we plan to continue that course of action. In terms of buying things, you can let items sit for 2-3 days and “cool off”, shop very quickly, wash your hands carefully after picking, wear a mask, and avoid touching your face. We bought disposable gloves on Ebay. Flea markets seem like a better option outside. However, I’ve seen a couple of youtubers do it and other scavengers are crowding them to look at the goodies and forgetting about social distancing. You can’t really control other people who are supposed to be protecting you.
As a buyer on Mercari, I am having some issues. They used to use weight ranges, but now the sellers need to weigh the items after the last USPS rate increases. Many sellers apparently routinely get away with sending 1 pound plus items with first class labels in priority boxes but not at MY post office – they are having none of that s*it. I had several items show up with major postage due. Also had an item break this week that was poorly packed. There are some good deals to be had though.
I listed 28 items, but only 19 unique items. Have my box out from the bottom of the piles to do next.

@Amatino that sounds perfect!
I took a couple of days totally off this week. I’m determined to make it a better week. I realized too that I let interruptions kind of sidetrack me, plus my son has been studying in the dining room at times when I want to list in there. I listed 27 items this week but only 21 were unique.
I pulled out a bottom box from my piles to list. It’s a lot of randomness – no easy multiples or similars but better pile items. I figured we can just get a whole box of whatever we have done, with brownie points if more than one bottom box gets done. Or we can count the items for the week to really get a winner. @Amatino why don’t you decide on that for us?

Number of items listed: 27I hope all of my fellow mom scavengers had a good mother’s day yesterday. I had a couple of lazy days Ebay and workwise this week, including yesterday. Intend to tackle a couple of good weekday listing days in while the kids are still involved with school. I just finished listing my single annual self-permitted rummage sale haul and now I’m back into the piles and excited to list. I’ve been working on a what sold video to share this Wednesday. Things slowed up a bit this week but still good sales for my little store in May.
I got the managed payments email a few days after most of you. I’m still inclined to wait until July for any bug fixes and will read all of the posts so I can charge my expenses to a cash back card. Thank you to the forum member who posted that Easy Auction Tracker is able to handle managed payment info.
Re grocery shopping, I’m at it once or twice a week. You are so lucky to have free trunk delivery service at Walmart! I’m volunteering once a week with my son to shop and deliver groceries to the elderly. I can make it two weeks for our stuff then I need to get my dad’s prescriptions. We have some stores that are doing things very well at this point but you still need to pass by others in the isles, it’s unavoidable. Masks are required and enforced here luckily at the stores we are using.
Your future coffee shop sounds like a nice place to hang out. I’m starting to get email travel deal offers and feel wistful about going somewhere but it doesn’t seem likely to be this year.
@Retro I have those same questions. I just got the July notice too.
How about items from a box on the bottom of your death piles for June?

I like that. I would put man cave in the title for sure.
I listed 27 unique items this week. Congrats to the April winners.

Number of items listed this week: 27A good week again on Ebay. I did some online clearance sourcing, including a new store brand I haven’t tried before and I will try to flip on Mercari as an experiment. I found a handful RA items sitting around unlisted and finished with that. Finished all of my daughter’s clothes she’s outgrown that are worth listing. So it’s back to the vintage piles this week. Had to take a break from sitting at the computer over the weekend so I wasn’t too productive but now I’m feeling super ready to list. It’s been seven weeks now and I finally got buggy last week. I’m so grateful I have Ebay to work on when I don’t have day job projects.
Out of curiosity I did look at estatesales.net and only one place was listed with a few items and their prices were WAY too high for resale. The paintings I would be interested in would be $7.99 at the thrift store vs. $50-100+
Have a good week scavengers.
I had this problem this week too, though I do have money in my Paypal account. The issue was that I had refunded partially because the buyer purchased multiple items before she asked to cancel. So I guess I will have to refund the rest in Paypal.

I noticed a lot of ums and long pauses and I was too lazy to edit but it was kind of nice to share as I learn a lot from others this way and it’s interesting to see how people do and think about things. You should go again!
