Number of items listed this week: 1Enjoyed the podcast. Fell down on the listing last week and now I’m getting piled on at the day job. I’m going to try harder to get at least a few items listed each day. I can relate to Julie with the lack of productivity and losing the day. I need to make a recording of Ryanne saying “just do it” and “then work the rest of the day”. I do have a high maintenance kid at home with remote school. Honestly I’m super distracted by waiting for college acceptances and talking with other parents online who are going through the same thing. But I’m kind of reflecting on how I should have gotten WAY more done and now is the golden opportunity to make a bigger dent in the death piles and stuff from my parents’ house.
Almost done with the bookkeeping for our taxes. I thought I made more money last year but it’s about the same. Good for taxes but kind of disappointing. Also, I love selling new RA items but of course make much more on the used stuff. I also think taking too many best offers on the new items put a dent into some of my profits so I’m tighter on that now.
Oh, interesting too that the retailer has chipped away at the ease of reselling their stuff. First they stopped letting you go back and get stock photos on sold out items (but so far haven’t VERO’d) and now they won’t show you your complete order history unless you have the order number. I managed to compile the information with the packing slips (which only showed prices about a third of the time) but they made me sweat a bit and take extra time and I think I am still missing a handful of COGS. They also stopped their price adjustment policy about a year and a half ago.
Have a great week. I need to order more coffee! It’s delicious and I drink it only with a bit of half and half – not a bunch of sugary stuff. 🙂
Boo only one item for me last week.
I listed 34 items. Happy to be getting close to over 400 items again in my store. I’m not really working on paper right now since I’m doing mostly RA items that cost the most.

Number of items listed this week: 34 – Almost back up over 400 items 🙂Slower week for sure on Ebay. Enjoyed getting away to an Airbnb this weekend. I’m doing better with listing lately and I’m getting back my desire to enjoy Ebay. Yeah! Look forward to the podcast and some coffee shop photos soon. Hang in there.
@Sharon I feel the exact same way about linens.
Patagonia nanopuff is practically the uniform here.
Sorry to hear Julie B. It’s so hard to lose a pet.
Amatino hope you have warmed up and have water.
I only listed 5 this week, but I’m already ahead this week.

Number of items listed this week: 5A solid week for me in February. I look forward to the podcast after work. Cases are down very low so I got a thrift store run in this weekend. Pickings were slim but good to get out. Costco packed so I wear a full on N95 there. Thrifts are counting customers at 25% max but Costco in not in compliance.
Working on finishing bookkeeping for Ebay (COGS) so I can finish my taxes. Made a couple thousand more profit I suspect this year due to a strong spring and early summer (stimulus?) boost. Have a great week everyone.

Money Spent on New Inventory This Week: Honestly I’m losing track as backordered items get shipped out RA. Several hundred.
Number of items listed this week: 12Thanks for the podcast. Ebay was pretty quiet most of the week for me. The retailer surprisingly started running the extra % off sale again after a few days off and I’ve gone in deeper than ever before. The home items are selling, clothing selling but more slowly. I should probably list some preowned textiles, as ladies are in the nesting mood. Had one sale on Mercari, but it’s pretty quiet over there for sure.
Our Covid numbers are quite good right now and rented an Airbnb for a short stay in Santa Cruz. Looking forward to that. Haven’t been thrifting and I miss that for sure but the RA is keeping me busy. Reflecting back on the last year, I would say that I should have been more productive with listing. I do get a little too caught up reading on the internet sometimes.
12 new listings for me. Not working on paper since I have RA clearance still coming in.
Those photos are so beautiful. We have the perpetual 70 degrees here. Another drought year it seems.
Zero for me. This coming week I think might be better.

Number of items listed this week: 0Congrats on the 500 mark. I’ve listened to them all and really enjoy the information you share and also your wit and fun personalities.
Great week for me considering it’s February. Sold new but also some vintage too. Profit will go toward costs of the RA inventory I just bought. Sale is over so paying those January purchases off. Some are backordered and still shipping out. Unfortunately a bit distracted by family stuff and my day job, so didn’t list much last week.
Like your caller I noticed this week that Ebay would send a “final offer” from a buyer so they must have added a toggle for counteroffers on their end, at least on one of mobile or desktop. Ok with me since rarely does going back and fourth 3-4 times result in a sale. I am using that pretty new “automatically send offers” function and I believe that has worked a few times already since my initial offer to buyer #1 would have expired before the sale came through.
Have a great week everyone. Keep on truckin’ J&R.
Listed 20 items this week.
I finished a second death pile box of small art work. I had cherry picked it already so not thrilled with all of the contents and condition issues.
I’m so jealous of you all who have dedicated Ebay workspaces. I’ll circle back around later to look at Amatino’s photos.

Money Spent on New Inventory This Week: $400+ (RA clearance)
Number of items listed this week: 20OMG you guys crack me up with the super scavenger honesty, and this week with the eggs. We’re not worthy.
So that new sales report is cool. Shows sales are choppy. Currently plowing profits back into RA inventory. Needed to strike while the sale was finally good enough. Tried and true items people will buy during shut downs.
I made it through another box of death pile small art last week and one sold today. Some of it really I wouldn’t buy now so that went to Mercari and it’s getting some looks. Speaking of Mercari, they cut a deal and have $7.99 smartpost shipping for under three pounds. It doesn’t seem to come up all of the time though. I’m still pulling for Mercari to make it since the listing goes so much faster on their app.
I showed my friend Ebay this week. I think she will try it with jewelry, shoes and accessories. I reserved some more advanced things for part 2. As I suspected, she has some uber wealthy clients who might offload good stuff if she mentions it.
Boring time of year. Hopefully people are looking at stuff online this February. Bring on the coffee shop photos. Have a great week!
