21 for me. Not exactly death piles but I have gotten a lot of the stuff listing that I sourced before my injury. I also crossposted some more onto District this week.
11/02/2024 at 1:34 pm in reply to: Ebay Fall Seller Update – Feedback, Easier Sale on Entire Store #104150@Debits I’m hoping they do an ad campaign since sales are slower than expected. But I guess they would probably highlight enthusiastic buyer categories (auto, cards, etc.) instead of being able to find anything on Ebay or gifting.

I think the credit cards floated spending for a while and now people are really feeling strapped. But yesterday I sold one used pillow sham for $67. Thank goodness for those buyers.
My favorite premium brands have been running fall sales so they must be slow and concerned as well.

eBay sales projections 4th quarterhttps://apple.news/Aax9kR_7IRmCpAtNuOyz2Gw
they could really use a smart ad campaign
I really need to refresh my store with sell similar but I think I’m going yo wait until after the election and fallout absorption period, then do it. In the meantime running 3-4 day sales.
congrats to everyone on their numbers. The garage is an absolute disaster and I have boxes in the dining room of listed and unlisted merch. I should t really be lifting boxes yet but I can pull them down to grab things out. My live booth stuff is all out. I can’t wait until I can reorganize and consolidate. Everything feels like a big death pile right now all over the place.
Congrats VL on such a great show! I miss the live selling. When I’m in a hurry packing up my stuff is not well organized after but you probably have a good system.
There is a pop up organizer who is doing an empty space in the downtown mall for the holidays. I’m not sure how that will work but I hear his rent is expensive even for outdoor pop ups. We’ll see…
https://www.ebay.com/itm/235805440315 This is a pre-injury pick up that I got listed from my piles. My box is messed up and full of tape (thanks Goodwill) but this set has sold in the past year for $75.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/235804419260 Sharing a sleeper. This came in a big bag of recipe cards that was cheap. I found out they are actually a little hard to come by online when I was trying to pick up an online lot to add to my tin vintage boxes for sale.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/335636616053 Can’t remember if I mentioned I found my second Glassybaby candleholder in the wild for $2. This color I think is still for sale new for $65. Hope to get a sale in the $40 range.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/235303340030 Not at all a typical pick up for me but I find metal art does pretty well.
@Sharyn interesting Corningware sale. My mom had one of those with chickens. I’m surprised at that price.Always fun to source out of town. Sometimes I decide I really have it good here at home but it’s always fun to look at fresh places. Have a great trip.

Number of items listed this week: 26It was a decent week on Ebay selling and listing (for me). I was feeling quite good but seem to have gone downhill the last couple of days for some reason. I have 9 packages to pack this morning that I wasn’t up to yesterday. I walked around the flea market and only bought a couple things from some late arrival house liquidator but it was nice to get out just the same.
I sourced a few small vintage items from another seller on District.net (Niknax) who is an Amercian living in rural Sweden. It’s interesting to watch the lives. I don’t think it’s for me, but who knows? Some top people on Niknax.net are making an absolute killing on their lives, selling things super fast and furious. One just sells straight out of a hoarder house garage (or her garage after raiding a house.)
I got a little tired of listing this week at one point and need to give myself a swift kick because I need to get this stuff up. I did get all of my Christmas RA up for sale. I believe the good retail sales are over until maybe right before or after Christmas.
Good listing week with 25 listings, plus some crossposting on District.net. I didn’t get back to my Mercari drafts yet. Really these are mostly not death pile items.

Number of items listed this week: 9 + 9 FB marketplaceMade about $70 profit on Facebook with 3 used Pottery Barn items. 0 District sales, one small Mercari sale.
Had a solid week of sales but it felt slow for this normally great time of year. I’m able to sit at my desk and list for a while without back pain, so that’s great. Hope to get a lot of listing done this coming week. Still not 100% but getting more comfortable doing some things.
There is a lot of podcast and Facebook chatter about Ebay and other sites being slow for long time sellers. People mention the obvious suspicions – the election uncertainty, debt, cost of living, etc. I’m grateful for the sales I have and will just keep on listing. I need to be disciplined about avoiding buying much. The retailers having been running extra discounts which I don’t remember this time of year. Maybe they are nervous about sales as well. My Halloween item sales weren’t that great, and those were inexpensive items.
Hope everyone had a good week. R&J glad you found your roasters and got away for a trip.
P.P.S. I also like District because I think there are a lot of older collector women on there, unlike Mercari for example and unlike my live market customers. That is a good market for my type of items.
PS. there is a way called “magic comments” to sell your district listings through instagram.

i got in to join Niknax early on. I have a weird selection of items listed because there used to be weekly themes. Had not been posting three for a while but just had a great glassware sale for $140. The YouTubers bring their followers over to the marketplace. It’s popular for live sales but also not as flooded as eBay with merch and no algorithm. Each store within the Niknax mall has its own flavor. Easy to cross post.
I have items that have been languishing for a long time. On Mercari it’s all freshness – you can’t sort so things get buried and there’s not a really easy way to relist that I know of. Maybe that is intentional design.
