Hi trash elves. Wondering who you still find to be good?
I found a new podcast this week that is pretty good – the last part is solds for his book sales, so they are not that long. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/galaxy-cds-rocks-and-flips-reseller-talk-podcast/id1489203410 He is doing a good job covering changes on Ebay, Posh, and Mercari.
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/pure-hustle-podcast/id1399376631 These guys are ok. The one in Waco is pretty smart. Too much storytelling but easy to list during this one.
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ebay-the-right-way/id1561855572 She is pretty naggy imho. I did like her episode on estate sale tips from other resellers.
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/trash-to-cash-reselling-podcast/id1591234125 These bros are super annoying to me.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqCG_L_QAN8 I like listening to the Tuesday podcast while listing. A lot of newbie questions but sometimes good sellers.
https://www.youtube.com/@justinresells He has a tech background so I like listening to him though he gets a lot of newbie questions as well.
https://www.youtube.com/@tuitionaintcheap
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OW4I45N- tTg&list=PLPcEr1JdzwMclRNw02SjIkQtgYgxAhJUU There is an Amazon seller guest on this who is MEGA annoying. The main guy has some good points. Too much nonsense but sometimes I listen while doing something else.
LMK if you have any podcast recommendations.

It’s a BBC Radio 4 podcast, basically excerpts from a book. Maybe listen to the last episode- “Cheap British beer”- and see if you find it interesting.

I’ll have to check out the galaxy CDS and Pure hustle podcasts on my commute. They look promising.
This month I did start listening to Trash to Cash podcast since I found it on apple podcasts. Dave NC Picker is a pretty terrible reseller and I definitely have watched his youtube stuff in the past to feel better about my abilities. LOL! Then he went full time and dag gone it, if he can do it then I could DEFINITELY do it if I wanted to! Their podcast is…fine… for casual listening that is reselling related. Similar to mindlessly eating cheetos while watching tv. Alot of hot hair that doesn’t really satisfy. There is a general charm to their banter though – just guys hanging out and chatting about ebay and other stuff. In a way it reminds me a bit of how it felt to listen to the Scavengerlife podcast and that gives the show bonus points!
One of my fav youtube reseller channels:
https://www.youtube.com/@catrpcrew
You would most likely not like them. Chase is legit though – he knows what he’s doing as a reseller and I regularly find myself inspired by their crew channel where they get into the nitty gritty of how they do things. They are constantly seeking more efficiency in their space and processes. The 2023 $10 challenge was alot of fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l17hu3z_UNs&list=PLHlBTEO7H84j9r56hKNi8oL2mFU2xJWU4&index=1
Now they are all about Whatnot. And hey I can’t blame them! I also look forward to the episode where their amazon gets shut down and Whatnot crashes/burns. It will be very interesting to see how they pivot/adapt. And no, I won’t join your discord!https://www.youtube.com/@technsports
This guy was the brains/silent partner behind the scheister 10konthebay/daily refinement. After Daily refinement got banned on ebay, technsports kicked him to the curb and started putting his own content on ebay. His weekly video calls are great to listen to where he just does Q&A. He is a walking encyclopedia of clothing knowledge. I listen to this while at work when I need to do alot of data entry.Justinresells has some excellent content. He’s quite bland to listen to though.

Deals in gold and silver coins, and some kind of weird postage-stamp arbitrage. Profit margins around 3% “over spot”,

Irritatingly enthusiastic TV personality.

Galaxy CDS was a no-go. Dude was very grating and too much like a radio DJ.
Pure hustle was ok. I’ll listen to a few more. I think I listened to them years ago and they were heavy into Amazon FBA. They seem be mainly ebay now.

@technsports I tried but I don’t do clothing and his Q&A answers are so shallow. He is a good motivator though in terms of listing.
Galaxy will definitely keep you up to date on the <span class=” cl-b d-b fc-pewter fz-14 lh-16 mt-2 ml-22″>minutiae</span> of platform and shipping changes in the reselling landscape, so I do like that part. I do understand how he could be annoying to some though. Pure Hustle does talk about Ebay’s performance and changes that are most impactful. I don’t care for the guy in San Diego but I do appreciate that he mentioned sales and deeper discounts being more necessary this year. I am in that camp.
I loaded a couple other new ones but so far I’m not impressed. Miss the SL podcast!
We need My Cottage back to keep us up to date. 🙂

So I listened to a few more Pure Hustle and they are our people.
I started with the newest and was going backwards. I made it 3-4 in and one of them reminisced about scavengerlife and how much they loved it. Then they acknowledged how when they started they were almost 100% Amazon FBA.
One of the guys homeschools his kids as well.
So I subscribed and went back to start in 2021 at episode 236 and will listen on from there.

I listen to TechnSports when I need motivation. He tells it like it is. Honestly I could benefit from having someone like him in my life, I wouldn’t have a deathpile.
For clothing/style BOLOs I watch Trash Pandas Thrift but a little goes a long way. They mostly source from Goodwill bins which I do not have but its still good for learning style keywords.
Lately I’ve been watching Tuition Ain’t Cheap because she seems to find and sell things I never would have thought to pick up.
Hustle at Home Mom is good but I find myself getting jealous because how could one part of the country have so many garage sale/thrift store goldmines? The episodes with her husband are my favorite. They both seem like sweet people.
The most underrated Youtuber IMO is Stefany Fuson. She rarely puts out content but I find her dry sense of humor hilarious. I hope she ramps up her channel.

Yes I love Tuition Ain’t Cheap. She has a couple of research videos – one for Ralph Lauren bedding, which I do well with. Thanks for the other suggestions. I also could use someone yelling at me to list / cut back on sourcing. This summer was a set back for me but I’ve cut back a lot on sourcing lately. Listing more.
