Hi all! Great to see everyone’s sales! Retro… will def. keep my eyes open for Rainbow Brite dolls!
Been a really lousy couple of weeks for me sales wise. Almost feels like Ebay has turned my store off from buyers. Hoping things pick up. We’ll see.
Sold this Riddell football helmet that a neighbor had thrown out. An older model and pretty beat up but still got $75+!
https://www.ebay.com/itm/363844315012Picked this up this vintage Noah’s Ark wooden set for pennies at an estate sale. Thing is the newbie buyer messaged me before purchase and asked for local pick up because they lived a few miles away. I added local pick up to the listing, they bought the item and then I got a message that they would be away for a few days. Figured I would need to relist but no they picked it up with no issues. The buyer was so grateful. He said his sister keeps talking about this playset they had when they were kids and he had been searching for years to replace it!

Zach… that painting is totally creepy!
Thanks for the responses everyone! Hopefully this reply gets posted. Have a great day! Liz
What a great find! I collect Rookwood and have a mix of antique and newer pieces. Rookwood pottery is still producing today.

Like many here, I haven’t been selling much at all lately but here are some recent sales:Went to an estate sale at a hoarder house that was about to be demolished. It was quite frankly the most disgusting home we had ever gone to! Beyond filthy and smelly with explicit porn mags and videos strewn everywhere. Anyway, by the time we got there it was pretty picked over but i grabbed some good stuff including this Fenton Vase. Sold for $28.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/363791798945This Old Glory ocarina was also from that house. Sold for $20
https://www.ebay.com/itm/363769904122I picked up a large tub of materials from the Paramahansa Yogananda Self Realization organization (cult) for free at a yard sale. A definite BOLO. The magazines are pretty sought after so should sell out fairly quickly. But with $5/gallon gas these days who knows? 😛
Here are some sales from that lot:

Sharyn… haven’t been selling very many things lately. I was trying to figure out if I was gong to give up Ebaying entirely and focus on my art exclusively. After some thought, I’ve decided to give it a go for real and see if I can make enough side money to justify my retiring next year!Don’t have much listed at the moment but that will change!
Anyways, my husband had a boyhood crush on Olivia Newton John. We finally got this lot of 45s OUT of the house! Went to a buyer in Canada. $50 https://www.ebay.com/itm/363733507192
Finally got around to listing this vintage paint by number. Must’ve underpriced it because it sold within 10 minutes! 😛

01/28/2022 at 2:39 pm in reply to: Numbered print, TV knobs Mrs. Maisel, Console stereo, Union hat, Record player #94889Hey Sharyn,
I recently ended up removing most of my listings and donating most of it because I wasn’t sure I was going to continue to sell on ebay. It was getting to be a hassle! I do have a few remaining items for sale but not really too much to share.Anyway, I lost one of my office mates this week. She and her sister were trash kitties abandoned as kittens at my old apt. complex. Magic had cancer.
Sold this GoGos cassette for $12.99 + shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/363385364080
I attended an estate/moving sale last year. The woman was a potter and made dolls. We got to talking and she offered me all of her kilns. I contacted artist friends who took the medium and large ones. I went back the next day to pick up the small one and the woman LOADED my car with ceramic supplies and doll parts. One box alone had about 300 vintage kiln fired doll parts. I’ve been selling them pretty steady.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/363647898634Sharyn and everyone else on the east coast. Good luck with the impending storm. We are expected to get about 2 feet of snow here on Long Island.

Amazing answers! thank you!
Christine. Thanks for the response! I’ve always used an accountant. Worth every penny!
Vintage Treasures… that really stinks. I’m sorry you went through that experience.
Julie and Workhorse. Thank you for sharing your experiences! Liz
Thanks (as always) for the information AND for easing my anxiety! SL is such an invaluable resource and community! Liz
Thanks Jay! I do have an accountant that files our taxes. I’m sure everything will be fine! Just wondering what the experience is like for anyone who has been audited.
