Steve- Found a reel to reel-FREE- AKAI flipped it to a fellow scavenger untested for 60.00 – I know, very low – BUT – as I have no more storage for 2 more weeks and didn’t want to keep it in my car- I thank you kind Sir!

It was pretty beat up, after research- I was hoping for 100.00 plus-Listed starting bid at 139.00 (Start high right Mike?)I found this at a creepy estate, you all know the kind- that almost an abandoned bldg. to be torn down- nobody else there…wandering from almost empty room to room, eerily quite with 1 giant fly buzzing around kind of creepy (of course smelly).
Anyway I find a paper grocery sack with some train pieces- and the Mandolin, the guy at the door asks where I found the trains; And proceeds to say they were his boyhood memory, not for sale. Really! Really? I must have had “the look” on my face, because he then said “oh just take the Mandolin” – cool. Then I ( overpaid) paid 10 bucks for a big framed photo of Mt.Rainier but it was for our AirBNB (different pile completely than ebay for the accountant types).Also sold a Disney Animal Kingdom Print for 35.00 (included shipping) that I picked up for a buck- the back was not nice, but it was signed- BOLO on these for sure-

Comps are all over the place, condition is similar, but that helps me think about how to dial in a price- I don’t know the ebay method, the best way I can think of is real estate- add the 4 comps (96,158,220,380 and divide by 4 gives me about 215.00 add 10% and best offer list of 239.00 – Is that reasonable ?Nice Sale! I have the gas version- with a safari rack on top. I love it, so much room in there with the seats down….

It was easy, just wait a week relist. They ultimately sell in 2 days for 99.99 free ship- to Pa.
(reset auction settings to no paypal no bidding….)Thank you book sellers and the universe for nudging me into grabbing this book for a buck.

I have no solid answer to the bump in sales but I’ve observed the following-
Changed most of my listings to free shipping/shipping included.
Raised the prices to cover shipping costs and fees and then added 10 bucks and checked best offer box. Most items have sold for a few bucks under the listing price, or full price!
Noticed sales of new and expiring items have sold as discussed in the forum.
Increased items for sale from the low 20’s to over 30 items.
Stopped buying dumb stuff.
Got really lucky in finding smart items to sell.

I thought it would be difficult to tell via photos, thanks for trying. I’m pretty certain its a watercolor- it feels like watercolor paper no markings anywhere. On the left edge, using a loupe, I see a few faint pencil marks and lines from where it could have been taped down for painting…
The red and green bright flowers in the forefront seem so vibrant and really pop, like a different medium than watercolor, but I don’t see any raised areas where it would be ‘sitting’ on the watercolor.Does that make sense?

I noticed your comment about the house next door- well it just happened to us! My neighbor told me they were going to sell the house and move south full time, so we are buying the house and starting an airBNB in the house and using the wood shop as the ebay business (About 400 sf)- I’m retired and my wife works full time…for now….here we go!

PS Found some pottery, was able to I.D. and list one as a Donn Zyer wine chiller- Keep an eye out for the other here, as I’m gonna need your opinion please- Its a newer water crock? (has a spigot hole), but its hand thrown and signed-Have awesome weekend
