Problems here for a few days too- Chrome on mac.
Hi Edward, I ship FedEx through ebay. I’m sure your question is answered here somewhere.
Can’t help with the rest, but pop in at FedEx and ask, can’t hurt.Don’t give up.
I’ve been eyeing a certain beautiful Velvet Elvis painting for a while myself-
sallyUpdate- It is not attaching itself to a magnet, good sign.
Thanks Marjean- About the wagnerware- The handle has a crack, condition lesson!….tons of views, but nobody wants to buy it. I’ve been looking for a replacement handle but no luck yet. Thanks for that tip about the polish!
I’m not sure, someone with experience can name it something I guess…. I love vintage stuff with purpose-rare stuff, littles, tiny stuff, oddities, art. But I’m selling such random stuff if can turn it.
Here is what I sold-
High end pencil sharpener, Vintage screen printing equipment with lots of spare parts (the true value) .MMA Gloves, NIB vintage sewing bobbin, ‘exergenie’ vintage workout device, crazyblades trick skis, vcr, cassette deck and synthesizer all in original boxes mint, modern drum stool, vintage 45 record crates, 1 box of random leftovers.
All those Items came from estate sales, fundraiser bazaars(a very good source for high end stuff and rock bottom prices) a couple from goodwill.total cost of items was about 60 bucks max.
and the link to my tiny listings, I don’t even have a store yet, I am so slow…but I like tiny.https://www.ebay.com/usr/sallysuniverse
the caveat is I am just doing what I’ve been doing for 30 years, except now I’m really buying, not just sourcing for my home (IE Tools, furniture, Clothes etc). BIG learning curve for sure, I have a lot of Zonks as I call them, like a 40 dollar bag of watches AKA a boat anchor. God love ya for giving it a real go! hope this helps
xoxo
sallyCongrats Shayward!!! You deserve several pats on the back a fist bump and a high and low five!
For perspective, starting the same time as you, I’ve listed 26 items and sold 13- So you are pretty much a rockstar…Have fun Buddy!
sallyI love Glengarry Glen Ross.
Hi Kenny-
I’m giving your idea a go, I will let you know what happens-https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=112897366081
– an estate sale last minute find. When I saw them, I remembered an old timer telling me once to look for tiny details in paintings and these hit the mark, they are detailed and tiny. Then I started looking at Russian Art and thought there might be something here….
Thanks again for the tip
sallyWow that sounds pretty brilliant to me Kenny- Thanks for that nugget, I will definitely be watching.
Thank You All for the BOLO / what sells lessons- Great stuff, I love it. Here are a few items you may want to contemplate…
I read about a pencil sharpener and indeed I found and sold this one recently – It was brand new at goodwill, covered in packing tape but shiney and heavy. 3.99 and it was weds, so all veterans get another 10% off.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/CARAN-D-ACHE-PENCIL-SHARPENING-MACHINE-Pencil-Sharpener/112845188108now I am starting to look for small executive/drafting ones like these- nothing yet.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-A-W-FABER-JANUS-No-4046-BRASS-PENCIL-SHARPENER-MADE-IN-GERMANY/282870881454?hash=item41dc6b1cae:g:AXoAAOSwsUlanHaVAnother great find, I know I’ve seen it before at estate sales is the old exer-genie…well its a thing, isometrics, workouts, and they still work and mine sold in 15 minutes for 75 bucks-
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Exer-Genie-Resistance-Trainer-with-Manuals-2-and-RARE-EYE-BOLT-BOARD/112860377744is anyone selling cassette tapes? I see a ton of them and it seems heavy metal and early hip hop are hot?
Gracias,
SallyPS Jay
yep I’m so lazy- seriously I am. I don’t want to strain my retirement! And if I can be a “source” for those who do rely on ebay to make a living, and cool stuff gets to whomever its destined for; I am more than happy to help out. Everybody wins, it’s possible for sure.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love that benji at the end of the rainbow for the junk box but, there comes a point in life- when more sand is suddenly on the wrong side of that hourglass… I’d rather be out on the junk hunt than at home on the laptop.Hi Everyone-
just a quick update, my ZONK box sold at auction for 16.50- These were all parts of estate sale left over bundles so how can I put a price on that? Haha, IDK. Its out of the house and next time I will take better photos and do a buy it now listing of over 20.00
I already have some items set aside – I am using a milk crate as a size guide and will keep it under 20 lbs-
I still can’t bring myself to list all the smalls separately and wait it out…Thanks Ad’E
thats the rub- longtail, shipping and storage. I don’t have a lot of time and money in these, so off they go- to someone who can make a few bucks – I hope. Maybe if they do not sell I can re-think this. My perspective is from the hobby side- not the income side. I think I am earning about 2.50 per hour in my ebay venture….lol
I also just listed another “zonk” box of watches. to be honest, maybe i want to get them out because they remind me of some of my dummy moves/questionable picks….here is the link…duh.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/112872828524Just posted a lot of smalls as a “junk drawer” – so many random items. they are all quality small value items that can be resold in the 10 dollar per piece range 9 total pieces in the box. The box weighs in at 19lbs. which is 15-25 via fed ex. I placed a starting bid of 9.99 and buy it now of 39.99
This is my “zonk” box (anyone remember Monty Hall?!) – I will keep ya’ll updated.
