Dear Jay and Ryanne,
thank you for teaching me proper scavenging, business and real estate. You have touched many lives in a positive way with this podcast. Financially and emotionally. And those touches have ripple effects and touch more lives. The ripples will continue long after the spoken words.
Without the podcast, I wouldn’t be where I am with my huge 750 item store, my nephew who is on the autism spectrum would still be unemployed and sad. Instead he is my photographer and right hand man…he’s a kinda happy tax paying contributing member of the community.
After learning from you; We copied you and bought a house to renovate. It’s now a full time vacation rental- for families who will make forever memories there. And Employing housekeepers, landscapers, painters etc. keeps those ripples travelling further and further…
I wish you well in your travels and adventures –

All my shoe listings (20 pairs ) are coming up in the “item specifics- required soon” box in active listings—and size is the required input.
Also items in a bunch of other categories are throwing that item specifics code- for instance an old art auction catalog in the catalog category is now requiring an item specific which is…guess…?catalog! its even below the box recommended when filling the form. WEIRD-
Yesterday I had 33 updates, which I completed…today- 22 more 20 are not shoes, I have 731 items in the store- I’m gonna sit on the bench with you all and see what happens next. Thanks for the information-
@ craig rex- very cool post, thanks!
…and get the label printer, it will be a game changer for you and your meticulously packed cards will look even more spectacular. I can’t imagine life without it. Don’t cheat yourself, treat yourself….
Amatino Thank You! – I was operating with the carrier discounts passed on. I unclicked. It will be interesting to see what happens. I also read the unclick only applies to new listings or edited listings. AM i wrong thinking that the unclick will not apply towards my 700 listings?
Copied below from the page Ryanne (thank you!) linked

Shipping carrier discounts let you pass some or all of your savings along to your buyers. You have two options for offering carrier discounts to your buyers:
- Set up a flat discount off retail or daily rates for domestic and international shipments across all carriers (USPS, FedEx, and UPS)
- Offer eBay-negotiated discount rates with USPS, FedEx, and UPS
In either case, changes you make only apply to new or edited listings where a shipping cost applies.
@utahbill the boxes stay flat and tucked away 25-a 35 at a time. 25 tubes take up a lot of room. If I only had the space…. I have that same 12 ft carpet tube I always forget about.

I use these on their own, not in a triangle and cut them down to size; With my new favorite cardboard cutter: a big serrated steak knife.
I wish they felt sturdier, but i’ve only had 1 report of damage to the box in close to 100 shipments. The cut off ends are great for smalls also….the outside measures 3.4 inches so 4x4x30 for shipped dim.
I use them mostly for 1st class and bump up to a triangle for more expensive (insured) priority mail shipments. I think theres a cut off for 1st class of 22 inches long?
USPS package went missing Oct 12th med flat rate- It was delivered dec 21st. I had already received my USPS Claim check. The buyer got his refund too. The buyer was ecstatic that he got his old army boots 😉
Thanks for trying 3 times antique frog, I appreciate it _ Its got to be the one leg. Lets see if it sells. I think now I paid 5 bucks for it just to find out what it is. Zonk. Thanks again….s
…Sprite not included
Sorry! how about now?
@Jay are you selling coffee bean burlap bags?
Second the box sizer for making flaps and after seeing the auction professor use a steak knife for box cutting- I’ve been using a serrated steak knife lately instead of the box cutter when making large cuts. It works great….for me10/28/2020 at 7:00 pm in reply to: vintage white glazed divided platter “usa 604” mark #82963
