@ Temudgin regarding challenge coins, i’m seeing a lot of fakes from china . Specialty coins especially Ranger, SF, SWAT , Etc… So i am shying away from purchasing challenge coins unless i source them in person at estate sales etc. I doubt i’m the only one?
@Pikapop
not sure it matters with clothes, but shipping costs may be a consideration from Hawaii…? usps flat rate boxes and bags may be the most affordable way for shipping. Perhaps now would be a good time to move any big bulky items …
Hawaii is awesome
Did you buy a Tesla….?
Not on Ebay, but on a Honda MC forum -I sold a motorcycle to a guy in Vegas. I am in Washington. He paid me via Zelle. We emailed/exchanged PDF’s of our respective States Bill of Sale signed & witnessed. I sent the Title via Fed Ex Envelope and the shipper arrived a week or 2 later to pick up the bike. Filed the report of sale online. We spoke on the phone multiple times during the process and it went smoothly.

Thanks! ….made possible by Scavenger Life….woot woot!
I agree with all the feedback Catmom, I have over 200 pieces of art in my 800 item store. Within this art category some are signed numbered prints, paintings, photos, posters, maps. Storage is a huge consideration. Climate controlled and plentiful to store framed art, prints etc. – I agree patience is a must. So far this year art is about 25% of my sales. I hope to be over 50% art related in the store someday…. Glass or bronze sculptures sell well. Flat prints are easy to store and can be shipped rolled – I love art !
after “If you are listing such an item, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our guidelines prior to listing your item by clicking here. There are also important restrictions for sellers who sell such items internationally. Click here for more information.-”
is there an option that reads “continue Listing” ? maybe its behind the pop up?
I get this message when listing military and police stuff often. I just mash the continue listing. Maybe try to list in another category ?
I just had a listing pulled down today. Its been up a couple years. Vintage police car gumball lights – totally random. I will list them at my local proxibid auction and try to get my 12 bucks back. not hopeful.
Love it Amatino ! Where did you get that picture of me!!??
Thank you all for the Scavenger love and support in 2021 and beyond!
Happy Thanksgiving 🙂
Dear Jay and Ryanne,
thank you for teaching me proper scavenging, business and real estate. You have touched many lives in a positive way with this podcast. Financially and emotionally. And those touches have ripple effects and touch more lives. The ripples will continue long after the spoken words.
Without the podcast, I wouldn’t be where I am with my huge 750 item store, my nephew who is on the autism spectrum would still be unemployed and sad. Instead he is my photographer and right hand man…he’s a kinda happy tax paying contributing member of the community.
After learning from you; We copied you and bought a house to renovate. It’s now a full time vacation rental- for families who will make forever memories there. And Employing housekeepers, landscapers, painters etc. keeps those ripples travelling further and further…
I wish you well in your travels and adventures –
happy trails,
sally

Also items in a bunch of other categories are throwing that item specifics code- for instance an old art auction catalog in the catalog category is now requiring an item specific which is…guess…?catalog! its even below the box recommended when filling the form. WEIRD-
Yesterday I had 33 updates, which I completed…today- 22 more 20 are not shoes, I have 731 items in the store- I’m gonna sit on the bench with you all and see what happens next. Thanks for the information-
best

@ craig rex- very cool post, thanks!
…and get the label printer, it will be a game changer for you and your meticulously packed cards will look even more spectacular. I can’t imagine life without it. Don’t cheat yourself, treat yourself….

Amatino Thank You! – I was operating with the carrier discounts passed on. I unclicked. It will be interesting to see what happens. I also read the unclick only applies to new listings or edited listings. AM i wrong thinking that the unclick will not apply towards my 700 listings?
Copied below from the page Ryanne (thank you!) linked

Carrier-specific discounts

Shipping carrier discounts let you pass some or all of your savings along to your buyers. You have two options for offering carrier discounts to your buyers:- Set up a flat discount off retail or daily rates for domestic and international shipments across all carriers (USPS, FedEx, and UPS)
- Offer eBay-negotiated discount rates with USPS, FedEx, and UPS
In either case, changes you make only apply to new or edited listings where a shipping cost applies.
