Did y’all get the “We’re sorry. Here’s what’s happening now.” email from eBay? I’ve managed just over 200 listings all year, and now they want me to do 200 in 4 days??? Sheesh! 😀
I’m going to give Vintage Treasures the rest of today to post her numbers, and then I’ll put up the schedule tomorrow.
Anyone wanna take the 200-in-4 challenge?

I’m with you Vintage Lacy. Hot, dang hot, and more hot!
07/23/2018 at 10:05 am in reply to: Trash Elf Twins Challenge 2018 Thread #2 From Week 19 (May 7-13) #45947Zero for me this week, but it is the last week. I’m already working on listings, so the drought is broken.
Wish that could be said of our weather! 🙁

None for me either for last week. Still trying to resolve the bombshell from 2 weeks ago. Sigh…
Wow, Vintage Lacy, how awesome! I’m not allowing myself to go shopping until I clear the death piles. Not happening at the moment. It’s going to be the new Millennium at this rate!
Sharyn, how about… https://www.seventhgeneration.com/raising-kids/50-ways-keep-your-kids-entertained-summer 😀
07/15/2018 at 6:28 pm in reply to: Domestic Sewing Machine – Vintage Style – unknown manufacturer ? #45456Agree with Antique Frog on the dating of the machine. I’d definitely go with 1950. With the cabinet intact, even with condition unknown, I’d start it at a minimum of $150 if you were going for an auction, or about $250 BIN. The cabinet alone is gorgeous and the machine looks pristine and well cared for.
Older machines don’t tend to sell for very much as there are so many of them, but if you have the stomach for long-tail, an item as gorgeous as this one will fetch high dollar.
“Would you care to register to donate an organ?”
“Oh heck no! But I do have a piano I can let go for cheap!”😀
07/12/2018 at 2:51 pm in reply to: Trash Elf Twins Challenge 2018 Thread #2 From Week 19 (May 7-13) #45255I love selling mugs. So easy to photograph, list, and ship!
My best was a Cattlenan’s Steakhouse mug. Ugly little brown thing, but I was given it for free, so *shrug*. Listed and sold for $8 plus shipping, with a thank you note from the buyer that he was so relieved to find it as he’d broken his brother-in-law’s much loved one by accident. Made my week! I certainly would never have picked it up, but as it was donated, it felt really good to be useful!
Happy vacation!

That’s it, I’m plugging my brain in for a factory reset!
Sorry folks! 🙁
Hmmm… I’m looking at my imgur account and wondering if it wouldn’t be easier to just put up numbers, seeing as there are so few of us?
Amatino – 0 – YTD 242 Pts 10
ChristineR – 24 – YTD 369 Pts 16etc.
Or do you like the pictures?
Oh, yeah! Love the chip buddies! Also adore salt and vinegar chips, wrapped hot in paper. Yum!
And riding down the helter-skelter, followed by a bag of hot chestnuts.
Hmm… do you think my 37+C / 100+F weather has any bearing on all my thoughts of British winters? 😀
Get a couple of those flea and tick dog collars and strap them on your ankles over your pants. You can even wear a 2nd set just below your knees, like garters, if you’re walking in long grass. Works well to stop them climbing up your pants legs. Multi-use, so they’re cheap too.
07/11/2018 at 9:03 am in reply to: New shipping label page on eBay is costing me more than classic shipping page! #45092I’ve just switched back to the Classic shipping page from the new one and also noticed that it’s cheaper to ship. I was being charged $7.10 for Priority, but it’s only $6.70 normally.
I liked the all-in-one of the printing (the shipping options are listed below, rather than opening a new window) but I don’t like that I can’t just move on to a new label or return to my seller hub.
It seems like there are a bunch of folks working there who spend all day trying to “improve” eBay. Oh eBay, if it ain’t broke, please don’t fix it!
Wow, turns out there are a lot of Alexanders in the fashion industry. Looked up Olly Alexander, who was posted as Olly Alexander the Great somewhere, Nikki Alexander, Peter Alexander, Madame Alexander, and Alexander Wang. Gave up and searched by designer name + scarf. Then tried designer name + square scarf and then + red white and blue scarf. Also tried variations on royalty: alexander king, alexander prince, king alexander, prince alexander, alexander the great, and alexander triple point crown (lots of gang references!) Finally, I used the Google suggest tool and checked every variation of “alexander” that came up as a keyword until I got tired of it. Even jonathon alexander prince!
All I can offer is that I agree it’s not a McQueen.
07/09/2018 at 11:18 am in reply to: Trash Elf Twins Challenge 2018 Thread #2 From Week 19 (May 7-13) #44869In answer to my own question from last week: it can be incredibly hard to list 2 items a day! Listing for last week: zip. Zero. Nilch. Nada. Yuck!
I’ve had so much thrown at me last week, I’m reeling. And The Hubs is on my case about those Death Piles again. And finances are in a crunch, so I really NEED to be listing. I think I shall just consider sleep and food as hobbies and squeeze them in only when I have a couple minutes spare. Like… on weekends! Ugh!
I just found out last week that I’ve got a few items missing too! I was scratching my head about it, so this thread is very timely for me.
Jay, in answer to your questions, inventory approx 500, found 3 missing items so far. I’ve not done a full-depth scan of all my listings, so cannot tell you if that’s all that’s missing or just all I’ve found so far. About 150 listings are GTC, the others are all 30-day. However, the missing items were all in the GTC section.
