Just happened again. One Bonanza sale and half a dozen eBay sales, about half of which were GSP items. All requesting tracking numbers or to print shipping labels.
I’ve sorted it out on my side (old hat now!) but I thought I’d let y’all know so that you can check. I’d hate for this to happen outside of my 3-month window so that I have to work to find tracking info. Especially for GSP items!
Vintage Treasures, according to the spreadsheet, you have listed 281 items this year. If you’ve managed to list that many items and STILL be at 230 items, you’re listing good stuff because it’s selling. You can only add to your numbers if you’re listing way more than you’re selling, or the stuff you’re listing isn’t selling! I’d give my eye teeth to be at only a couple hundred items when I’m listing a couple hundred in a quarter! Go you!
VintageTreasures, thanks, but no. I was going to, but then I found some of these elves in a little store and thought they were too cute to pass up. And LOL. I’ll see what I can do to add titty worms next year. Perhaps I’ll sew some bellydancing elves! π
Zero for me this week. I’ve had a lot of running around, we have a freshly painted deck, and my second set of titty worms is finally underway. We’ve been invited to dance a gig next Saturday and the costume that I had 8 weeks to finish is now to be ready for the dress rehearsal on Thursday. My poor pincushions. Er… I mean, fingers. My poor fingers!
The eBay rep reminded me that cancelling an order can result in a buyer leaving negative feedback. I’ve logged this issue so if my buyer does, they will remove the neg.
Just a note that you might want to call eBay anyway. I emailed the buyer BEFORE calling, so they could see my history, and it counted in my favor. She remarked how I had done everything I could to fix things.
@Mike LOVE that visual! Now add in a bunch of tiny elves in little green outfits with the words TRASH ELF emblazoned on the back who pile out of the trailer and start throwing things into the trailer in a long elf-line and it’s PERFECT! π π π π π π
Oh gosh, this group is awesome!
SO sorry! Completely forgot to post the new spreadsheet link. Updated, Sharyn is the winner for last week. I was waiting for Liz on Monday, and forgot to log back in on Tuesday.
However, for future reference, you can always access the spreadsheet using the previous week’s link. The link stays the same and I update in real time, I just wait until Tuesday to add the point and post the link again for your convenience.
Hi Mike, nope, it wasn’t me. eBay just confirmed it’s a bug.
I have the item number for the item that was sold a year ago, as well as the transaction number and tracking number (thanks EAT!) and the item number for the item that was “sold” yesterday. Same item. I also have the item number yada yada for the other one that was sold last May and is still showing active right now. I only have one of each item, so it’s not like I had 4 and sold 5. I had one, sold it, and eBay relisted it as active and available.
The rep sweetly suggested that I go through all my listings and end those that I sold last year, as it is a bug that is relisting sold items. (Probably with the change to GTC listings – my opinion.)
Don’t forget – going full time means you’ll use both cars less. You won’t have your daily commute any more. That will help bring down your costs.
We live on a ranch with a minimum of an 8-mile drive to anything, and we have a truck, a car, and a tractor. All paid for, and we wouldn’t give one up for anything! We have been considering getting a new truck to replace the old one, it’s a 1997 skedonk-kadonk that is on its last wheels but still wheezing along cheerfully, but we won’t give up the old one even if we do. We’ll just keep it as a ranch truck and lose the insurance on it.
What happens if you’re out delivering parcels to the post office and your spouse cuts a finger and needs to rush to the emergency room or something (crossed fingers it won’t!)? If you give up a paid car, you’ll regret it within a year. Prophesy for free!
Sheesh, Sharyn! Well done! It seems a bunch of us have a lot of off-eBay stuff keeping us busy! I’m also at zero this week. The hub’s business quadrupled in March and his business makes my workload heavier. While he does all the repairs, I do all the marketing, pick up and delivery, paperwork, etc. Chews into my time, big time! I’m also busy with show prep, only 8 weeks to go until our showcase and I’m madly working on planning, paperwork, preparations, and costumes.
For your giggling pleasure, my latest creation had me stumped. I unpicked it so many times, I had more pricks in my fingers than a tattoo artist with a hand tremor! Eventually, I found a solution that I liked and shared a photo with my daughter.
She said it looked like a stripper nipple tassel! I had to agree, but since it was one of a whole batch of them, it didn’t worry me. When I finally finished the set, I sent her another photo
This time she thinks it looks like gummy worms. My husband, wit that he is, now refers to them as titty worms.
It could be the mounting surround on a ceiling light?
On the vinyl floor, we did it but years and years ago and paint has changed so much, I don’t think I can recommend a product. However, there are a ton of blogs and vlogs that document a successful job. That being said, ours lasted ages with very little wear at all. If I remember correctly, we used an exterior grade paint that is used for concrete porch floors (could be wrong, but I think I remember it was called porch paint back then.) It washed using hot water and a mop and lasted ages!
BigSally, it’s a 4-day process for the counter top paint. There are those multi-finish kit options out there and they look like a serious hassle. The hubs went for the one-can approach using Rust-Oleum Countertop Coating. Comes in 16 colors. Scroll down to the customer reviews section and there are a bunch of photos.
Day 1: clean and wash the counter as best as possible. Sand it down with 120 grit sandpaper to create a rough surface. Then the hubs used Acetone for the next wash to ensure all crud was gone. Not a necessary step, but he’s very particular. Allow to dry. Ensure the area is VERY well ventilated, the stuff is super strong smelling! Apply the solution generously. He used a 4″ roller. You need a very thick coat.
Day 2: Apply a 2nd coat. Very generous coat using a 4″ roller again.
Day 3 & 4: Allow to cure for a minimum of 48 hours. The longer you leave it, the better the result. A bit like a nail varnish, it might be touch dry, but it’s easy to damage if it isn’t totally cured. He didn’t go near it for 48 hours and then avoided it as much as possible for the rest of the week. He did the counter first then worked on the rest of the place, so it had a good week before anyone really went near it.For a rental, this is great, easy, and quick. Although we can’t attest to the durability of the product yet as we only did it at the end of last year. However, a problem might be easily fixed with another coat of it. It’s very nice, smooth, self-levelling and has a great texture. The hubs says it’s perfect for a rental, for your own home you may want to do something better.
I had a lovely brass plate made in India, the country, that I listed as Indian brass. It was flagged as inappropriate because you have to use Native American. *eye roll* So I changed the listing to East Asian and it went through with no hassles.
If you can identify the tribe and use that instead of Native American, or just the artist’s name, that might be better. Think about it – you don’t say European Artist Monet painting, or even French Artist Monet Painting, do you? You just say Monet. Okay, that’s a bit of a crappy analogy, as everyone knows Monet, but if the painting was NOT Native American, you’d list it by characteristics and artist, yes? Add in keywords like Authentic, Indigenous, and the tribe (if known) to get more hits. If it’s listed in the Native American category, that should do it for you.
Ok, this is the colored tape I have. Approx $4 per roll, plus shipping. If I toss a roll in a box, it comes to 10oz, with shipping to 01003 of $5.53, your total cost will be about $9.50.
You can get 2 rolls of brown tape on eBay for $6.50 and a single roll for only $5. I found single rolls at Office Depot/Max for only $3.
If you want to pay the extra for the colored roll, I’ll send it.
You guys are so funny! π
