Whatβs the difference between snowmen and snowwomen?
Snowballs.I have a bumper sticker saying, “Honk if you think I’m sexy.” Some days I just stall at a green light until I”m feeling good about myself.
I managed to lose my rifle when I was in the army. I had to pay $855 to cover the loss. Now I understand why a Navy captain always goes down with his ship.
I don’t know why men go to bars to meet women. Go to Target! The female to male ratio is 10 to 1 and they’re already looking for things they don’t need!
One month until Valentine’s Day. Which means one month and one day until I buy myself a whole cart of 75% clearance chocolate.

1. A guy walks into a shop and says: “I’d like a gas cap for my KIA.” The owner thinks for a few seconds and replies: “Ok, that seems like a fair trade.” — 2. How do you tell when a mid-engined Ferrari is warmed up? It’s on fire. — 3. What do you call a VW bus at the top of a hill? A miracle. What do you call two VW buses at the top of a hill? A mirage. — 4. So the guy two ranks below me at work bought a used 3-series. Another guy, about one rank below, bought a newer 3-series. So I go into my boss, explain the details, and believe it justifies a raise. “I’ve worked here twice as long as them, and rank higher. If they’re driving BMWs, I should be driving a Genesis!” My employment record now says “dismissed for poor judgement.” — 5. What’s the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? Gotta love search engines! π
Gotta agree with Annabel, it definitely doesn’t look handmade.
For listing purposes, this would either be a lap quilt or a crib quilt. Probably a lap quilt.
You can check out the sizing of different quilts on this awesome Quick Reference Guide: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9kgcqgzXmP0/VNKb-wcqivI/AAAAAAAAEKQ/7Geh2eJrV7U/s1600/Quilt%2BSizes.png
LOL. Thanks, Sharyn. Actually, I’m amused, not depressed.
It tickles my weird sense of humor that I’m the one who started this and does the weekly runnings, but am at the bottom of the race. However, it’s only week two of 52, so you ladies better up your game. I’m just getting warmed up! *waggles eyebrows threateningly* π
I’ve not been able to find anything on this for you. However, the gathering photos look a lot like a State dinner at an embassy. I think the six-digit number might be the photographer’s print reference.

(Sez me, from the bottom of the barrel!) π
Nearly doubled your listings this week too, ChristineR! π Great job!
Week #2.
#items listed: 10
#items from Death Piles: 9
%age DP: 90%
New Inventory purchases $0Still nowhere near target, but at least I managed to double my listing numbers!
Flat refused to go anywhere that would entice me to buy, so no new inventory this week.
I asked my hubs to unpack a bunch of old computers in the shed, figuring it would be easier to sell the parts than the whole PC. The key word there, though, is “old” and it ended up with the stuff going into auction instead of GTC. I figured if I put them out there as a virtual “giveaway”, they’d go quickly. After he’d done all the work stripping them down, I felt too bad to say “nah, they’re not worth much, I’m just gonna chuck ’em!” π01/14/2018 at 4:47 pm in reply to: Willing to share types of items that you were surprised sell well on Ebay? #30452Disney ball cap with “pieces” such as hands or ears. Very surprising sell prices!
It is gorgeous, isn’t it? It feels solid and heavy and makes such a satisfying brrrrrr sound as the dial goes round. TBH, I’m seriously considering pricing high and then letting it hang, just so I can keep it in the house. Like that sunburst clock Steven S sold eventually! LOL
Have you inspected the shirt? Is there anything you can go back to the buyer with to say it’s not in the condition as sent? If you have something on the email record that shows he’s being an ass, perhaps they will remove the negative? You can say look, it came back, there was a problem, I refunded in good faith/good time, but he left me a neg anyway. EBay checks the records, sees you’ve done good, and take it off.
That’s the only way I can think of to work around it. Otherwise they’ll just say it’s the buyer’s opinion. Perhaps the Elves will have some more ideas.
It was a joke. π
My husband is actually awesome about the hoards of Death Piles all over the house. He was difficult in the beginning, but now he’s on board and helps me with stuff. Just recently he totally refurbished the 300Lb industrial Singer sewing machine, he stripped a bunch of fans down to parts and sorted them by type, and today he’s stripping half a dozen computers.
I just posted the link as a “funny” figuring folks would get the dog box vs garage reference. I obviously made it too serious. My bad.

On the topic, I’ve noticed a definite match between what I list and what I sell. For the first year I listed shoes pretty much every week, and sold shoes pretty much every week. In the last 3 – 4 months I’ve been trying to kill the DPs and so have listed specifically within those categories; only jeans, or only home decor, or only shirts, for example. My shoe sales have all but dried up, but I have been getting sales in jeans and shirts and home decor.
Have you ever used a Tyvek envelope? I’be been told they’re incredibly sturdy, better even than polymailers. They feel quite flimsy, but I couldn’t tear one, so perhaps they are very strong.
