Do the sweatpants have pockets? Usually pants for women have much shorter pocket bags than pants for men. With pockets if you can put your hand all the way inside it’s usually for a man and if you can just get part of your hand in the pants are for a woman.
Thanks for answering, I was interested to hear what items you all found that fit the description of “blues”.
Hmm, come to think of it I listed a Christmas Carol songbook because the cover was blue. But that would have fit under music also!
I’m just wondering if anyone listed items for the Blues challenge that fit any criteria other than the color blue.ย As per Amatino: “According to Google, โbluesโ can refer to music, depression/feeling sad, the Union army during the Civil War, a butterfly, metallurgy, or of course, color.”
I didn’t have a lot of blue colored things so I listed a Norman Vincent Peale self-help booklet that I thought fit the depression/feeling sad criteria. I also had some butterfly stationery but I didn’t get that listed in time to count towards my Tuesday total.
4 Blues Challenge items listed for me. Thank you to Amatino for thinking up this cool idea for a pop-up challenge. It was very inspiring and got me to list things I wouldn’t have otherwise!
Update to my post above: After I filed a missing package claim on 7/31 I only got a stock reply back from USPS saying “still in transit arriving late”. The only movement on the package had been from my town to the next town hub on 7/23, the day after I mailed it.
I refunded the buyer in full on August 8th – the package tracking stopped on 7/23 and I had already put in a second request on the missing package and still hadn’t heard anything from USPS. With no information to go on as to where the package was, I felt that 18 days for a buyer to wait for a priority mail package to be delivered was way too long which is why I refunded in full.
So of course the next day the package showed up in Louisville, Kentucky and then was finally delivered to the buyer in Florida on August 10th: 20 days after I shipped it via priority mail. Ouch. My buyer got a free item and I paid for the priority mail shipping. It’s not a high enough $ item to pay for shipping back, so it is what it is. Wish I’d waited just a little longer to refund!
Hi Peter!
Welcome to the forum. I used to live in AZ so I get why you’ve been away for 7 weeks to beat the heat ๐
Jay, as a retiree, selling online for me is a fun hobby. I guess because never learned how to play golf. When I was younger we worked 6 and a half days a week and I never had time for golf. But the good thing about all that work is that already have a Tesla, so eBay isn’t about the $ for me. And thank goodness for that, I can’t imagine myself ever making enough to live off via eBay. My hat’s off to you and Ryanne, you 2 have really made eBay work for you!
P.S. Hearing you talk about wanting a Tesla in the last episode made me chuckle. You need to just keep telling Ryanne you need a Tesla! I’ve never been into cars and I’m really cheap, but a Tesla is 100% worth every penny!
Oops, sorry, somehow I managed to post the same thing 2x. Please ignore this post!
12 new listings for me last week. I don’t think any of them met the August challenge criteria. I’ll have to start keeping track better for the rest of August.
I like Vintage Lacy’s idea for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for the weekly listing challenge BUT I’m not the person who would have to do the extra tallying work. I would leave that decision completely up to Amatino. Seems like she’s already putting enough work into doing this for us IMHO ๐
VL, this year hasn’t been easy for you, I’m sorry to hear there’s been another curveball in your life.
Wishing you and everyone else a great week this week!
I agree with littleBlueHouse. Up the points for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place so 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are something to really work towards. But to get more people in on the challenges it doesn’t hurt to reward everyone else who participates with a point.
OMG Vintage Lacy – that scenario is a dream come true! Okay minus the 97 degree heat and the amount of back breaking packing and moving work involved. And the ability to store it all. And the work involved in sorting it, cleaning it, deciding what to donate and hauling off the donations.
Oops, I didn’t mean to sound like that. It really is my fantasy that such a thing could happen to me. Except my hubs would kill me if I did that. So it’s going to have to stay my fantasy I guess.
Congratulations on a wonderful score!!! Wishing you lots of fun researching it all and lots of high $ sales!
I listed 10 new items last week, and all of them during the mini Monday Madness challenge! I met my weekly goal so I’m happy. My total Christmas listings for the Christmas in July listing challenge was 15.
Wishing everyone a great week ahead!
Too funny, right after responding on this thread I got a message from a buyer I sent a priority mail package to on July 22nd. They still haven’t received their item. I’m in Colorado and they are in Florida. So I just filled out the missing package form online at USPS and USPS sent me a message back right away saying they would respond within 24 hours with more info. It’ll be a good test to see if my past experiences with the “lost” package moving again shortly after I put in a request to find it holds true.
Usually when I have an issue with tracking not updating for several days I fill out a missing package claim with USPS and then the item suddenly starts moving again.
It also helps bolster the buyer’s patience when they see that you as the seller are doing everything you possibly can to find the item for them.
I’ve had really good results doing this. I’ve never had a package that wasn’t eventually delivered, although I’ve had several packages that appeared to be “lost” although they turned out just to be stuck somewhere. My buyers have all been happy that I’ve done everything I could to resolve the issue. The missing package form is on-line at USPS and very quick and easy to fill out. If I remember correctly you just need the ship to and from addresses, date and tracking number.
Amazon is so wasteful with packing materials it’s crazy. But for resellers it’s a good way to get free packing materials.
Unfortunately not everyone is reusing the excess packing. I see tons of Amazon boxes and packing materials being thrown away in my neighborhood on garbage day.
My number for Monday Madness is 10, and that means I’m done for the week if I want to be. Hurrah!
