Just a followup for the group. I emailed bonanza and told them how I was considering closing my Bonanza account the next time this happens and asked them if they were aware of it and if they could try and fix the issue. I also explained that others where having the same problem. I got a response in about a day. Here it is.

Hi Justin,
Thanks for writing to us so we can help with this! For reasons that are out of our control, eBay will “disconnect” the notifications that they send to us occasionally, which can result in items not being removed from Bonanza when they should be. We’ve just re-verified the notifications in your account, so everything should be properly removed. We apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate you letting us know!
Please let us know if you have any other questions for us, and we’ll be happy to help in any way we can!
Kind regards,

So I guess I will give them one more chance.
Yea that’s what I am seeing as well. I think I’m done with Bonanza. My little experiment shows it’s a waste of my time, especially with selling old items.
Thanks!
Sharyn,
Ok here is a dumb question. But to get the 10% discount do you have to be top rated or top rated plus? Basically do I have to offer free returns to get the 10% discount?03/18/2018 at 8:45 pm in reply to: Fragile Stickers cost an additional $10.45 shipping costs through USPS #35506Haha Jay I like your last comment. yes I use them as well for the same reason as you guys. It just gives the buyer more confidence of my extra care. I live in a rural area and if I miss my drip I can go down to my local P.O. at 530 pm and meet the box truck that hauls to our shipping hib a couple hours away. I have to drop my packages off and leave because it makes me sick to see how they load them. They go into laundry bins and are shoved in the back of The truck hard. The old guy then literally throws any late packages into the back of the truck from the loading dock. As they shove the heaping bins into the box truck several packages fall out and hit the pavement about 6 feet below. It really amazes me that more of my items are not broke.
Sonia,
Thanks for pointing that out. I must be blind. Man I didn’t like seeing that date. I am supposed to mail everything by next Friday. That not going to happen. O well when the new update hits I figured I would opt out of the free shipping returns anyway. Been top rated for years but I guess I will drop off after next week. Just a few months early. Seems like ebay wants you to keep working harder and harder for less of a discount. Sorry for the rant. Thanks again for helping. Thanks Jay. Yea I used to be able to find that shop date on ebay. But I looked and looked this morning and couldn’t find it. They must have changed the site.
Put=out too early haha
I guess we got to pay for their new dimensional scanner system.
Sorry jay I must have not explained myself very well. Yeah I am pretty good about doing claims for domestic shipments. I receive most of them except for the last one we’re an item somehow fell out of the box and the buyer already tossed the box so I was s*** out of luck according to USPS. My question is has anyone ever filed a claim for an international shipment. Not one sent in the states. I got the photos and everything from the person I follow the same steps you do. I am just at the last step trying to decide whether or not it’s worth my time to try and put the claim together and send it in. The USPS website wasn’t that helpful for filing and international claim. Call me paranoid but I do believe if you get a lot of claims denied that USPS tracks that and they start making it harder for you to win a claim when you deserve to. So I don’t want to get two claims denied in a row. And thanks again on the heads up with shipsaver insurance. I definitely won’t be pulling that stunt again and trying to save myself $2.
Tried to opt in also. Was told I was on a waiting list too. Must have filled up fast. I was hoping to get in on that 20% fee decrease deal. O well
07/22/2017 at 3:11 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 319: Being Adults, Making Decisions #20631Sorry for the delay been super busy. I’m the guy that called in about parting his old Civic out. Basically if you can change your own oil and brakes you can do this. What I suggest is typing into ebay your car year make and model plus year. Then add parts to the end. Search for used parts. Go though sold listings of used parts and then go outside and start parting it out. Quick big sells for me where the side mirrors, headlights, taillights. But I have sold probably 100 parts. Just some examples, manual, spare tire, jack, bag of tools in trunk, trunk latch, both arm rests, rear view mirror, kick panels, dip stick, gas cap, dimmer switch, impact bars, starter, alternator. Just to name a few. So grab your tools and get down to business. You might just find yourself learning how to work on your own cars too. Just more savings in your pocket.
Thanks! Makes me feel better
Terri…. A day late and a dollar short like usual! Thanks for the warning, wish I would have seen it sooner.
Basically to summarise my new game plan while sourcing, I used to factor that 10 percent of an items sell price went to the MAN (ebay/paypal) before you consider the real “Man”. Now im goin to assume that 15% goes to them. Also another reason to find higher price items so postage doesn’t cut into the overall paypal payment from the buyer. Sometimes easier said than done 😉
