I think I can answer that. I’m a TSR seller. My dad us not but he still says it’s cheaper to print online rather than go to the PO.

Good point Jay. Maybe when ebay negotiated about the postage increase USPS also lowered the discount. You are correct I am referring to the final value fee. Which is about 11 %. When I printed my labels I was getting a discount as low as 7%. In the past the discout was always large enough to cover the fin al value fee. Not anymore.

Nice on the experiment. I just logged in to start a post with experimental free shipping. I just endedicated several of my hat listings that all ship for under 8 oz. I simply added the cost to the price and relisted. I will report back on what happens. My dad has been doing this over the last month and said it has increased his sales. However he didn’t really write anything down or realy keep track.
I like all of your reasons for including them but I do not. My reasons are as follows.
1. I never even look at them when I get things.
2. I have sold 1000s of items and I have never seen where it would have helped (lost items etc.) I’ve never had a lost item.
3. My time is extremely limited with my full time job and my internet is already slow enough. It would just slow me down.
4. Money savings, printer ink and paper.However on items that sell for 100 bucks and up I place several address labels inside the box. In case a postal machine tears the box open maybe a postal worker would find it and send it back. I use the pre made labels that I assume everyone gets in the mail all the time. The ones that want you to join a magazine or some cause.
