It went back to the updated version in the afternoon, still not fixed.
Don’t forget to check their pick up time.
I went to my Walgreens to drop off a FedEx last Friday morning and after they scanned it in I asked when it will be picked up, they said they already picked up for today (this was like 10 am) so it won’t go out until Tuesday (holiday weekend). Well of course I had to take it to the FedEx distribution building myself.I started listing this morning and noticed the app reverted to its previous incarnation.
Listing went far faster and smoother.
I’m sure all the complaints about the update has eBay retooling the new version. It’s funny how, you won’t know an item is “Long Tail” until it is.
Some of the weirdest stuff will sell in a day or so while a common item can sometimes take years and of course vice verse.Worst summer for me since I started 5 years ago, some of it is me being complacent or lazy but not so lazy as to earn an average of $1000 less per month than other years.
August 2018 $4038
Items listed in store 925
Sold items 74 (eBay 71 Bonanza 3)
Gross sales total $4038 (eBay $3178 Bonanza $860)
Returns 1 bike headlight radio, volume too low
Highest sale $700 Pioneer Reel to reel
Average $55I could’ve fought the INAD case on the bicycle light radio, the volume issue was more a reception problem or buyer remorse but I hate calling eBay over some amounts.
You must have the Android OS.
I’m on an iPhone and can access drafts.
I cannot access item condition descriptions or store categories which I’m hopeful these overeager developers will fix soon. You’re also limited to only 2 shipping options. If eBay is listening, how about you run you’re app updates past some real sellers who use it daily and have them critique it before just throwing it out there to see if it works.
I’ll even volunteer to be a beta tester.Lawn chairs shipping.
Line them up with a piece of cardboard between each one, take measurements and find a sturdy box. Not a lot of padding necessary as they aren’t going to break, maybe just some reinforcement on the corners.
I like to prepackaged large items so I have the exact dimensions and weight and I’m not stuck searching for a box when they sell.08/31/2018 at 8:48 am in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Sun Tachometer, Deneuve perfume, Eveready flashlight, Leather duffle, Polar Care, Lone Scout books #48221Smart switch on the Birkenstocks.
Welcome to the do anything anytime style of life.08/30/2018 at 1:34 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Sun Tachometer, Deneuve perfume, Eveready flashlight, Leather duffle, Polar Care, Lone Scout books #48189That reminds me, I have that Hammond dust cover somewhere, better list it now that there’s no competition.
I just don’t think there is anyway to completely verify either way. I’ve never tried relisting every 30 days, always just GTC.
The ups and downs, seasonal differences and pure chance would skew any attempt at a comparison. As a buyer I always question a sellers effort in good packaging if the listing features free shipping.
I know as a seller I would be skimping on material and would be trying to save weight so I shy away from free shipping listings unless it’s something I really want, then I contact the buyer and hope I don’t piss them off by giving packing suggestions. All comparisons are subject to the type of item, t-shirts? Easy, 1st class is like a flat rate. Unbreakable items would be a safe bet as well as any item that fits securely in a Priority Flat Rate.

Don’t expect a good return on your effort if you build then sell unless you are very very good at it.Always consider the effort involved in safely packaging stereo equipment if you decide to sell, you’ll need plenty of packing materials like styrofoam sheets and sturdy boxes that fit in boxes.
Don’t sweat it, I went on vacation last week with extended handling time and sold more than the previous week when I was listing 8-10 items a day.
