Cool stove top toaster, reminds me of the Blues Brothers movie, Elwood used one.
I’ve been meaning to list some weird old batteries I’ve accumulated, you’ve given me a push.

I like your term “welcome tarnish”, reminds me of a used car salesman tactic of putting a positive spin on a perceived negative. Good work.

I may start selling multiples to them if I can accumulate a few.
I wish they would buy the other models that don’t use 600 film as I find those all the time, they’re worthless right now. There are several brand names but it is an electronics contact cleaner, hardware stores or Walmart has it.
You will need access to the potentiometer (volume/tone controls) so you can spray inside it, there are small openings on the round body.01/04/2019 at 10:24 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Empty tequila bottle, Turntable, Hat case, Cow Head Bell, Album holder, Magazine rack. #54549Hello Liz, others have agreeably crystallized my thoughts on this (thank you).
Nearly 20 years of selling and buying on eBay has given me the valuable experience in what details to include in my listing descriptions although I’m still always learning, tweaking and improving.
My approach is to not over sell the item, if you put in the right keywords someone will find your listing and they already know what it’s for so there’s no sense in making your listing look like an advertisement from a catalog.
I keep superlatives in my descriptions to a minimum if used at all.
Joe Friday said it best, “just the facts mam”.
Ryanne and Jay taught me years ago that it’s best to be honest, don’t raise expectations and in the end the customer will feel their purchase was better than described. The scenery for the dogs and I improved with that last snowfall but uncharacteristically for So. Dak in January it’s been melting the last couple days with temps in the 40’s….it won’t last, spring is a long way off.
I too see thru the glitter to find what looks like junk at auctions. Great price on the bar chain with hook.
I break them down then stand them upright leaning against the wall, that way I can flip through them like record albums.
You always have an eclectic group of sales.
Those Space Commander remotes can fetch over $80 if they’re working, the one I sold had one button that wouldn’t click. He’s mainly just interested in how it’s done but he doesn’t sell, he’s a financial systems programmer.
My daughter has been doing Poshmark for several years part time.I don’t think these service metrics are correct, as a small seller I can remember all my returns or INADs.
It says I don’t have a clothing return when I know in fact I had more than one.Remember buyers are just people and people are stupid.
And they don’t seem to be getting any smarter.
I ignore and or block when they become pests.R

A good month for me, in fact I started with near 950 items listed and today it’s below 890. I’ve sold some higher priced items on Bonanza and Truegether as well.
All the shipping gets in the way of listing as I usually only work a half day.November 2018
Items listed in store 894
Sold items 108 (eBay 103 Truegether 2 Bonanza 3 )
Gross sales total $5832 (eBay $5442 Truegether $220 and Bonanza $170)
Returns 1 (Leather coat for size)
Highest sale $600 Marantz
Average $54I would keep at the three digit combos until it opened, I’d hate to sell a locked briefcase without knowing there wasn’t some old American Express checks or a Rolex inside.
Usually there is a reset button inside to put in a new code.11/29/2018 at 9:10 am in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Auto compass, Hats, Books, Levitron Globe, Creepy Blow Mold Santa, Sansui Amp, Leather satchel, Teac Reel Tape Deck #52461Thank you, I think it’s mostly experience. I’ve been doing this type of buying and reselling before there was ebay, can’t believe I’ve bought and sold items via newspaper or magazine want ads.
