I thought this was part of the glitch people were talking about, in addition to the clothing issue.
The included listings with your store subscription are just listings whether they were around from the previous month or not. New, old, it doesn’t matter.
Your subscription starts at the first day of the month and ends at the last day. You don’t pay anything additional for the first 250 listings that come up within the month.
All listings renew after a month. A listing from the previous month renews in the current month, then it is included in the 250.
If an item sells before it renews, then it is part of the previous month and doesn’t count toward the 250. If an item renews and then sells, it is part of the 250. If you create a new listing and it sells right away, it is still part of the 250.
If a listing is renewed and you cancel it, it is part of the 250. If you cancel it before it renews, then it is not.
And so on.
I can’t answer your specific questions about Inkfrog since I don’t use it; however, the reason Jay and Ryanne started with it was to do the opposite of what you want to do. They had two stores and they wanted to move all the items from one of the stores into the other. I’m sure that the opposite can happen.
You can search the podcasts or forum to find more specifics of what Jay & Ryanne did and why they did it. Otherwise, I would call or chat with Inkfrog and ask your specifics.
I’m glad that I’m not the only shipping nerd excited by the new box!
If you are going to model your store on Jay & Ryanne’s, then you will need a variety of box sizes. Perhaps you should start with boxes that fit what you currently have and then spread out.
If you are starting from scratch, you will want small, medium, and large sizes, then maybe some really large boxes if you think you can use them. Start with something small, around 6x4x4 or 7x5x4. Something a bit bigger, 8x6x4 or 10x8x6. Then 12x10x8 or 16x10x8 will fit many larger items. You can shoot for a few larger boxes like 18x14x12, 20x20x20, etc if they have them. Anything flat and large is good for art, like something with a width of 5″ or so.
Then, I understand your nervousness, especially with a $750 item. You’ll have to go with your gut feeling on this.
If you accept the offer, it is still GSP. If the buyer asks for you to invoice him, don’t. That will take the purchase out of GSP.
If you get the item to KY undamaged, but it is damaged en route to Singapore or it doesn’t get to its destination, then you are protected. If the buyer wants to return it because it is “not as described”, you are NOT protected.
What do you mean that the buyer’s review says “untrustworthy”? It is this buyer that left a review for s seller, or a seller left for this buyer?
I ordered my eBay supplies yesterday, and I was so thrilled to see this new item:

I’ve looked for something similar, but couldn’t find anything for a reasonable price. I ordered those up real quick.
There is also a smaller box at 4x4x4, but I’m good with their 6x4x4 box for now.

VT – So sorry about your kitty cat’s medical issues.
I was able to list 25 items last week.
I should do better this week.
Yes, I didn’t realize it either even with my son home from school! Now I have six packages with labels all ready to go. I think that eBay’s software is smart enough to know that the extra day without a scan was because of the holiday.
Looks like recent sales are $40 to $50. Just put in “Montgomery Ward pressure cooker” into the eBay search bar and then filer by sold items.
10/13/2019 at 9:57 am in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Driving gloves, Bowling trophies, Stereos, Furniture, Nut bowl, Dynamite 8-Track player, Panther lamp #68928Steve – thanks for your reply. A write-up on Amazon had the Weller as the mid-priced option, so I will definitely take a look. I’ll try the 6-band radio in the evening to see if I can pick up a station. I’ve got a lot of research and planning to do, definitely a long term project.
10/11/2019 at 8:15 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Driving gloves, Bowling trophies, Stereos, Furniture, Nut bowl, Dynamite 8-Track player, Panther lamp #68916Steve – I have a few questions for you regarding vintage radios, but I’ll cover my sales first.
A few weeks back, Steve sold a railroad style cap for $30. I had one for sale, too, but I had it priced higher because it had a Lehigh University logo in the front. It finally sold for full price of $42. I paid about $2 at a rummage sale.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/183408548055About a month ago, my family and I went to the Cowtown Rodeo in South NJ. It’s actually the longest running rodeo in the US (go figure). We went early so that we could spend some time at the flea market next door, which includes a thrift store. I purchased an adult Boy Scout belt with a “Commissioner” belt buckle. I sold the buckle for $20, and the leather belt is still for sale. I paid $3.50 for the whole thing.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/183974663449One of the first rummage sales of the year is a fundraiser for the high school theater group in a neighboring town. Every time I come up to the cashier with a load of stuff, they say $10. So, this Martha Stewart comforter set was just a dollar or two out of this year’s purchase. Sold for $59.50.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/183799003259So, Steve, here are my questions:
As part of a large vintage radio lot, I have a number of Zenith Circle of Sound clock radios. I need to clean and lube a few of these that have rotating wheels. Do you know of a reference (website, video, or whatever) that gives a good run down on how to clean and lube old electronics?
Each of these radios has a battery that is supposed to keep time during a power outage. In addition, the alarm doesn’t sound when it is drained. I need to buy a soldering gun. I’m looking at some recommendations on Amazon, but I’m wondering if you have any thoughts. Also, I’m wondering if I can repair a metal horse with a break in the leg with the same equipment.
Lastly, I have a vintage Zenith 6-band Royal radio (this guy was really into Zenith, I think). The FM and AM bands work fine, but I’m only hearing silence on the VHF & UHF bands. The radio has two antennas, so I don’t think I need an external one. Either only the AM & FM bands work, or maybe it’s because the only UHF & VHF bands active now are digital?
Anyway, I hope you don’t mind me using your page to ask all these questions.
I was in Bloomfield a few weeks ago. My parents were in town, and my mom wanted to go to an auction. However, they happened to visit during a week where there were no auctions that I wanted to go to, so I took them to a very upscale one in Bloomfield. I forget the name of the company, but it was an interesting thing to do. Maybe someday they will visit when one of my “lowscale” auctions are happening.
I’ll take a look at the signs, but it isn’t something I’m really interested in. I buy things to sell, but I am downsizing my own stuff.
Sounds like you did a bang up job! With enough advertising, they should do well enough. Neat thing to get your name in the news. Does this mean that we all are eBay proprietors?
Do you know why they were set on using eBay? Just curious. eBay is OK for what they are doing, but not the best venue IMHO.
