those are all good guesses.
upstairs is 100% going to be an Airbnb, as discussed.
we are pretty certain as to what downstairs will be.
but we don’t like to discuss final plans until it’s done (though upstairs apartment is a sure bet)nice find, nice sales!!
i love golden books!
right that’s what i was explaining to jay too, that they charge if you want to hook up a credit/debit card. so i guess enough people do that to make them money.
question: does anyone know how Venmo works? because what seems to happen that is different than Paypal to Paypal payments (person to person, not through ebay) is that you can link a bank account to Venmo, pay someone and they have it instantly, but the payment takes several days to come out of my bank account. you can put a balance in Venmo like with Paypal and it’s obviously instant. I just dont understand how essentially what is considered an “e-check” via Paypal is instant in Venmo. (does anyone know what i mean?)
also also if paypal when bankrupt would they take everyone’s money with them? probably not, but how would that go down? they aren’t FDIC insured or anything.
also, paypal will still be accepted as a payment choice on ebay in the future right?

setting up the obi200 can be a little wonky, esp if you buy it used and have to do a factory reset, but i found all the directions online, i’ve also contacted their help email and had them help me at times. overall, if you can hook it up, it’s so much cheaper than using minutes when you’re at home.
ok this is what i do:
we have ting on both our cell phones and we love it because you only pay for what you use.
we have a google voice number (local to our area code) that rings both our phones.
i bought an obi200 used on ebay, but you can buy them new for about $40. i hooked up the obi200 to my modem and a cheap cordless phone (i got a Vtech w speakerphone, i love it!)
then i had our google voice also ring our obi200 at our house, there is a way to set that up through obitalk.com.
that way when we are home, we use the cordless phone for calls in and out rather than our cell phones, so we don’t use minutes, since ting is charged by what you use. so if you use less minutes, your bill is cheaper.same with data, we make sure all data usage on our phones is through wifi when we’re home.
when we’re traveling, we just have to use minutes and data, but when we’re home we can pretty much not pay for phone service.
other than the glitch that kept us on the phone for a long time and having to get another label and pay more etc etc. it was a cool thing to be able to ship a big piece via bus. i don’t understand why they have that glitch though, i set the date and the time i was going to drop off (kind of like USPS, yes i’m shipping today or tomorrow, label is still valid!) so why was the label invalid? that’s obviously a huge problem that needs fixing. i wanted to purchase online because they said it was cheaper, as you mentioned, so i guess next time, i’ll print right when we leave for the station.
if we werent leaving for nyc tomorrow, everything we own would be power washed this week!
