yes an Aldi just opened up in the 2 big towns near us (one is north, one is south), so i will check that out for sure!
fixed it. it was not italics but a list item “li” tag. that’s a buggy one.
that’s odd that ebay would let you sell an item that heavy via fedex and then deny you the ability to print the label and get the label discount.
similar type issue with FedEx Smartpost- someone with a PO Box address can purchase an item and choose Smartpost, yet ebay won’t let you print a label, saying that Fedex does not deliver to PO Boxes, HOWEVER, since USPS does the last mile on Smartpost, there should be a way to print it. wish ebay would fix that.
i posted it on reddit on tuesday. but we certainly do talk about our woodstove/wood pile a lot on this podcast. we love it! i guess 9000 other people love it too : )
that sucks, i would have argued for them to use the labels i already paid for.
you paid for them a 2nd time at the counter? but you already paid for the labels on the first try right?

p.s. we feel you on a $500 return. it sucks to have to refund that much. just had a $550 unpaid item and we refunded that $400 LOCAL PICKUP! chair. boo! but also potentially just sold (she hasn’t paid yet) a $1000 painting yesterday, so things turn around in just a week sometimes. that’s ebay.
i know it sounds weird, but ebay really only considers title and item specifics and “Condition description” to back you up these days. unfortunately people don’t read the text description anymore, and ebay does a great job of hiding it anyway. people mostly don’t look past photo #1 either. some do, most don’t.
we get questions all the time about info that is clearly in the listing, photos and text, sometimes even in the title!
good news is, if this guy returns it, you can change the listing and sell it again to someone who only needs that much.
