yes x100. cheap vs frugal is what we’re always fighting (ok it’s me mostly). pay for quality (this is especially true for renovations) and it should last a long long time. we’re frugal, not cheap. i want nice things that will last me years. and a lot of times i can get those things lightly used on ebay. love that.
you are my frugal hero!
exactly. if the best model was 40k, we might have one soon. but no, it’s much higher than that. some day!!
in ebay labels for USPS you can enter the “Shipped From” zip code. so your return address can stay the same, but you want to make sure you put the zip from the post office you’re mailing it from, so you’re charged correctly for price (if not using Flat Rate) and that post office gets credit for the shipment.
is it brass or Gold plated?
can you put the photo on imgur.com?
you can just paste that URL in and it will show here.and to echo what others have said. we’re not against fancy stuff, it’s just that for most people buying fancy stuff means sacrificing your time to work for someone to buy fancy stuff. or to buy fancy stuff instead of saving for when you don’t have your job or investing in something else.
do i want a fancy electric car, yes, yes i do. but the cost of a Tesla is the same as (or close to) renovating a building. which i’m doing instead. that’s my choice.
was talking to a friend yestersay whose stepdad is, apparently, doing very well in business. he bought a big ass boat for 350k. $350,000! i was like, wow they should invest in property here instead, that money would go so far in changing our town. but rich people want to buy boats, so they can.
Never mind what’s been selling. It’s what you’re buying.
you could call it a planter base? not my style, but could look cute with a square planter of a different color in it. call it Hollywood Regency, it’s got that look.
new podcast is up : )
we are alive!
do they have the Herman Miller mark? we found about 25 of these a couple years ago but they are Krueger fiberglass brand, couldn’t sell a single one, even though they are so cool.
i had them on local pick up though. i think if you can unscrew them from the legs, you could ship them in a big box, might be a pain, but if you have a good price plus handling, might be worth it.
nice sale, those are super cute.
bet those are beautiful, i love vintage trade beads
and?
