Thanks for the idea. I do have Amazon Echo, I will check it out. I will have to check out the wrestling pod cast as well, that sounds very interesting.

It was nice to see all the places you guys talk about in your podcast and to see some of your storage. I really liked the way you stored the clothes and shoes. Those custom racks really rock. Wondering if I can get Edgar to put some together for me… hmmm. 🙂 Thanks for all that you do!
Lists are my best friend. I am a visual person and enjoy checking things off. Edgar and I use an app called wunderlist. It is an application where you can share your list with other people and they can add to the list. We use it for everything from grocery shopping to name brands to be on the look out for. Jay and Ryanne are very similar to Edgar and I. I DO NOT like being told what to do. I also have a hard time asking for help. I will say the past years when I was working as a supervisor I learned that asking for help and letting go of stuff really helps relieve stress. Edgar and I do not work well together in the same office. He has a totally different way of doing things then I do, and of course his way is best. Lol. But after 23 years together I have learned to let him do his thing (even if I don’t agree).

Money Spent on New Inventory This Week: $90
We had another good week. Keep on keeping on.
Our find of the week: We bought a small bag of jewelry from an estate sale for $6, when we got home I opened it to find several gold items. Some rings and pins. On of the pins is a years of service pin that has a diamond and an emerald!Good point Jay, I completely agree. I get too distracted with shows while I am listing, I find podcast or audio books are better companions.
A few of my favorites on netflix are: Black Mirror, The Crown
Amazon: Patriot, Alpha House, then Night Manager, Mr. Robot, and Bored to Death.
Arrested Development is always a good show to watch in the background.
I also enjoy listing to audio books. You can download an app called One Drive, there you can find free audio books to listen to. It should be connected to your local library.
Listening to podcast is fun as well. My favorite is Scavenger Life!
Nerdest is a podcast where it is a one on one interview type. I like murder mystery podcast, I listen to true crime garage, up and vanished, and sword and scale. None of them are amazing but still some interesting cases.07/26/2017 at 3:34 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 320: Spinning Plates, Keeping It All Going #20870Great episode. It is nice to hear that things are full speed ahead on the rental, can’t wait to see the pictures. We have been very busy listing and finally got our store over 1000 items! We went to have ice cream to celebrate. We are starting to feel the lack of space now, so we are thinking of a plan for the future. We want to continue to grow our business and want to incorporate other things as well. We have been very busy with sales, crazy busy for us. So we are saying YAY for SUMMER. 🙂
Reading the post about the flood really does put things into perspective. I appreciate others giving advice in what they have done when faced with issues, it really helps me figure out what I need to be doing myself to prepare.Total Items in Store: 1022

Money Spent on New Inventory This Week: $0Good week all around for us. We are taking lots of offers but still making a good profit. I was telling my husband that if he was looking to buy anything on ebay (personal) he should start looking now, people are wheeling and dealing.
I too looked up, down, right, and left but could not find anything.
That has got to be one of the strangest things I have seen…. great conversation starter.
Thanks Amatino! Great info. I figure it will be a pain while I am doing it but will pay off in the end.
Basically we have racks and each rack has a letter, we then just add either boxes or bins and put the corresponding rack letter then add a number. Like Rack E box 11, we just put E11 on the box. If you have similar items in a box it can be easier to inventory. From the manage active listings page you can add a Custom Label (SKU) easily without having to go into the actual item. So lets say I have a box of ties, I can then go to my manage active listing page and search for my items I have listed that say tie in the title, then I can easily go down the list of ties and add the custom label (Scu). The Custom Label field seems to give you quite a few characters, so for example you can put: Red barn Shelf A box 1, or whatever works for you.
Does that makes sense? Clear as mud? I learn best with pictures so I can definitely do a step by step if that would be easier. 🙂
I think if you do at least one box a day… you will get there eventually. We have only 750 items at this point so it is a lot faster job for us.05/14/2017 at 10:34 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 310: Am I Selling on eBay the Wrong Way? #17990Welcome back guys! I bet you are glad to be home. Great episode! Edgar and I have opposite ways of running our ebay stores. I like to sell similar to you guys, long tail items priced high. He is more about getting rid of stuff fast. I find the long tail is more profitable for me. I prove it over and over again. But wanting to keep our home life happy I will let him handle his store the way he wants. 🙂
I am thinking I will be listing most from 15-35$. So worth the spot cleaning. Thanks all for the tips.
They aren’t too dirty. I think spot cleaning would do the job. I think I will go thru the pile and donate the ones that are dirty dirty. lol. Thanks for the info.
Thanks all! I appreciate your help. Now get to listing!
