I agree with Christine; I think it’s Kaa from the Jungle Book.
Yeah the increased pressure on staying “active” is one of the reasons why I dropped Poshmark significantly although I had moved stuff in the past. I wonder if it’s worth it to try to sell long tail though, for the reasons you mentioned.
06/06/2020 at 6:25 pm in reply to: Whoa, what? Walmart to start selling used clothing and accessories online??? #78136I also did a test box for Swap this year. Only because I can’t seem to sell everyday men’s clothing for anything either online or on Facebook and they accept men’s items, unlike ThredUp. Payout is lousy but it’s about what I’d expect if I tried to take it to an in-person consignment store. Their time to process the box is crazy long too, even before they started switching warehouses. It took over 90 days to process my box. The main advantage is they accept men’s clothing and some kids non-clothing items.
Thanks for the input; I did some research about the Chromebook and Dymo and may have found a workaround, so I may experiment.
RetroTreasures, do you feel a full number keypad is very helpful? Trying to picture if I would regret not going with one later. I’m a little hesitant to buy an old, used laptop because of the hassle of if it doesn’t work properly, having to ship it back and try others until I find one that works. Also, are the ones from 2010 quite lightweight?

Hi Sharyn, thanks I took your advice and called them. My account is affected by an actual glitch apparently when it comes to returns; rep said they have had multiple other accounts affected.
Maybe eBay changed something specifically for FedEx but I think I still have to crop mine if they come from outside of eBay.
Same; I finally kicked in the money for Gixen after using it for free for years. It seems like it’s just run by one dude and he’s just trying to cover costs.
It’s very smart; I’m surprised at how other internet consignment/thrift resellers don’t cross post to eBay.
Apparently 1720 is a Swedish date connected with both Federick I‘s ascension to the throne and the last major naval battle in the Great Northern War. Maybe check and see if either of those events inspired commemorative pieces and if this could be patterned after it.
I think you’re probably right. I thought it was odd that they would just open the floodgates for health and beauty. So by you losing your authorization does that mean to sell certain brands?
Wow, that’s good to hear. I didn’t know that. I always thought that could be a profitable area to get into. I wonder why they’re making it easier now. Whisky, I want to hear your conspiracy theories! :p
Le Mezz, your comment about Amazon Basics overtaking seller’s turf (plus the Chinese competition trying to do the same thing) is why I’m going to continue my book experiment. I follow this guy’s blog who deals exclusively in Amazon books and his reasoning makes a lot of sense. With long tail book and text books you have an item that neither the Chinese nor Amazon can firehose reproduce, plus the process of finding them retains that scavenger feel.
I’m potentially interested; I’d be up that way at the end of May but it will depend on my other commitments. Also, I’m mostly a fly on the wall; I’ve just dipped my toe into all of this so I might not have much of value to add to the conversation. 🙂
That’s pretty neat; where did you find it?
Thanks for all the tips and stories! I’m something of a Starbucks mug collector myself, so I can understand paying higher than retail for certain ones. In my case, I’ve spent the last 3+ years living and traveling in East Asia. I like to collect Starbucks mugs as a practical type souvenir since we entertain regularly enough (no need for special cup markers as each mug is different) and picking up a mug at each location visited also can be a conversation piece.
I regretted not buying a mug at one of the first locations we visited (before I decided to get into it) and recently paid ~$40 for a discontinued one from a hard to get location. I have a friend who ordered ~$200 worth of discontinued mugs through Amazon Japan as well.
Thanks for the tip on Firekings; I’ll start to familiarize myself with them!
