interesting! I didn’t get an email but I too have stopped buying from them unless it’s for a First Class shipment.
Thanks @Temudgin! We actually are planning on doing a PPM (words I’d never thought I’d say lol) since the new generous paternity leave policy and increased PPM incentive falls right within our PCS timeline. No worries about being near our weight limit–probably the opposite since it’s a PPM but we also have to downsize to fit into our new place. This is our second OCONUS PCS but first with kids, eBay store and all the extra logistics that entails.
Yeah it’s crappy for military spouses that they attempt to forbid inventory movement; it’s hard enough for us to get jobs because of the constant uprooting and having to extend our home hours to accommodate the service member’s weird hours/TDY times. I think a lot of spouses fall prey to MLMs partially because of this but that’s another topic.
How large was your inventory whenever you moved?
Thanks, yes we’re excited! Yes the military pays for it so cost isn’t an issue, it’s more about organization/timing/things to think about that I may not be considering. And maybe some compact non-standard storage tips for once we get there. Right now I have a little room about 100 sq ft to store everything in but I won’t have that luxury once we move.
Awesome score on the free Thomas! My brother used to have a set so I feel the nostalgia. Been praying for you guys, hope your family is on the upswing!
11/16/2022 at 11:00 pm in reply to: Funky lamp, Hot Wheels launcher, Western Airlines cards, Record player #98405Alpha Industries Flight Jacket: I priced it competitively and it had a few watchers and sold within a week. I bought it for $17 and made about $28. Not too bad for a quick turn-around.
Patagonia Bunting: This was a good sale where I made about $58. Obviously anything Patagonia is hot, but snow buntings are still worth a look if they are down-filled and sized 12 months and over. Non-hot brands with those benchmarks will sell for about $20-25 plus shipping.
Boy’s Ralph Lauren Polo Shirt: This was a weak $5 profit where I bought it because thought I was going to turn my money over sooner (expected it to sell during the back-to-school rush).
Boy’s Ralph Lauren Christmas Sweater: I bought this on eBay for $12 over the summer. Profited $10 but I probably need to stop pulling the trigger on items which eat a lot of capital and take a couple months to sell. Still, it’s hard for me to resist an underpriced Christmas sweater lol
Theology Book: Personal collection, downsizing.
My favorite sale was a Patagonia bunting I got for about $6 and sold for $65 (not including shipping).
Interesting to hear most everyone else had a slow week as well; I sold almost nothing and had 2 returns, probably the worst week since the summer and November is usually brisk for me.

@retro-treasures-wv Sorry to hear this, your family will be in our prayers tonight. Sick babies is the worst feeling. 🙁
To my eye it looks relatively modern. I would guess anywhere from 1930s to 1960s. Can’t put a finger on why exactly. I’m not an art history expert though so take it with a grain of salt. Something about the broad brush background schmearing looks like it’s conveying age rather than being truly old. Also certain parts being made with full coils instead of mosaic pieces and the general look of the frame.
eBay keeps pushing for me to offer free returns in most of my clothing categories, but I refuse. I think it has stopped a few returns from happening. This last month I also experimented with ending free shipping as well to see if it improves my bottom line.
I sold 6 items that week with children’s sweaters and Halloween costumes accounting for 4 of those, but my highest sale was a plus size tuxedo blazer (women) I had been hanging onto for a long time.
Nothing too exceptional this week, so I’ll have to nominate the vintage Juicy Couture track jacket sale as the “weirdest”. They’re trending again, ha!
Okay thank you!
I just got rolled over this week and my main complaint is having to get the hang of this thing during prime selling season lol.
