Yeah, I’m making enough to cover the bills comfortably. I don’t really have a number in mind as long as I make enough to save some each month. I would like to see the numbers keep going up though and I thought I would for the rest of the year at least lol. My goal is to become financially independent, so I’d like as much excess cash as possible to throw in index funds and towards our mortgage. I’m thinking by the end of 2022 my stores are going to be cranking out some serious cash. I plan to double the number of patches I list every day, starting in January.

I at least thought my sales wouldn’t go down any but they have a little. Oh well, I’m still in the process of building my eBay business into what I want it to be and have told myself to just keep at it and see where I’m at by the end of 2022. I’m about to start devoting 5 days a week to it in January so my stores will go up in listings dramatically. My patch store will anyways as that’s what I want to grow the most.

Zillow says my house has appreciated over $60k since we bought it back in MARCH and I thought we were paying top dollar then. I think we’re at peak craziness in this economy and it’s about to blow up…

They’re new old stock that I bought from someone who had been storing them. Not sure if they have anymore but they might
What I have on Etsy is a few patch listings that have multiple quantities. So I don’t list anything new, just keep fulfilling orders as they come in.

I did see that my patch store got charged for October and November’s subscription fee this week so that was $120 and then another $60 on my other store so without that I would have been about the same as I have been the past month or so at a net of $1000+. Not sure why eBay waited to charge me for October’s subscription this week but I did go back and see that they didn’t charge me at the beginning of the month last month. Oh well, still making a lot of profit on this old junk I sell 🙂

I’ll put on my conspiracy hat for a minute and say the consistency with eBay isn’t a coincidence. I think eBay is such a big website that they’ve had to build some things into the algorithm to manage the sellers. If you get things right, the algorithm gives more traffic and sales, if you do something wrong, you get penalized with less traffic and sales. We all know you sell more if you list more. I think that’s because eBay likes to know we’re active and able to fulfill orders if we make sales. They aren’t going to give you sales if you haven’t logged into the website in a month.

I guess that’s all eBay really is, finding items and relocating them to a new owner for a fee lol. The bulk of the packages on Monday were patches so just had throw them in envelopes. I finally sold out of one of the types of USPS patches I had. Sold 1,000 of them in about a year with just one listing and turned $500 into $5000. I would look for more of them but I think you’re not technically supposed to sell USPS stuff so I’m glad to get rid of them

Thanks, yeah my plan for now is to keep the random item store going until I build the patch store to where I can live off that income alone and then go all in on patches and make it massive. I could literally store hundreds of thousands of patches if I wanted lol
