I would also sell it by full years. I sell magazines but very seldom individually. To much of a hassle. If I don’t have a full year then I group the same title or like topics.
Agree burn them! Why become a registered sex offender over a few bucks.
Just started listening to the new format. I have to say I like it much much better than the old. What a pleasant surprise. Seems much more informative and less of an eBay tool to get seller’s to do things. Plus no commercials!!
Promoted listings and sales are great if there are many of the same item out there. If you have a unique item with 1 to 3 listing of the same, what’s the point of a promotion?
Are you going to move up from position #3 to position #1? Will it even matter?
Thank you for all the feedback. Makes me feel better knowing it was not just me.
I now have two feet on the ledge not one.
I have used the Android App for the last year and a half. I have never used the Apple App so I cannot compare. For a long time I was doing everything over the phone. Then the app reverted back to the older app around Jan 2018. You had to crop each picture before you could go to the next. No auto fill on item description. When this happened I evolve to starting on the phone and finishing on the desktop (Mac).
Now we are back to the newest upgrade on the app. But my process has changed again. I start a listing on a Mac laptop. I do about 20 then take the pictures on my Samsung Galaxy S8. I finalize on the desktop (Mac). Just goes faster for me. I am sure a new process will replace my current one soon. I am always looking to save time on the listing process.
Before the App got weird and downgraded, I did everything over the phone. Now I like the final review on the 27″ screen of the desktop.
I would sell it but not by itself. I would try to lot it with another item and get around $20.00 total. I sell all types of breakables. Piece of cake to pack. A little bubblewrap and newspaper. Send Priority and if on that rare occasion it breaks then file a claim.
I had over 300 listings missing photos. I sent a message to the eBay for Business Facebook group. They gave me my 10 cents for each listing and 4 month credit for my premium store. I have been using Kathy Terrill’s Google cache trick. I am about half way through. Unfortunately I will still need to take pictures for around 50.
Does anyone know how to check this without opening all your listings manually. I brought 500 in the bulk editor and it said none had only 1 picture. Yet I had a buyer request more pictures on an item. It only had 1 and I know it had 12 in the past. So I have a problem here.
Who knows how many have an issue.
I am a firm believer in you make your money when you buy. I tried to get at a minimum 10x my money. I would say about 95% of my items have made that ratio.
I love the buy for $5.00 and sell for $150. Who wouldn’t!
I have been reevaluating my ratio on higher priced items. I have been working on 5x my money for high priced items. Buy for $40 and sell for $200.
I don’t shy away from lower priced items. If I can buy for $0.10 and sell for $12.99, I will do it. Home runs and singles. About $8.00 is my lowest price I will list something. Below that and it goes to the donate pile.
I love the auctions where you get 5 box lots for $3.00! When no one wants it I start looking. Oh the gems I have found. I have never lost money on those type of buys.
Inglewood thanks for the info. You had me at free beer! I would bet there are hundreds of promos like that out there.
Thank you for planting the seed in my brain. Next time I see any promo or add on item, out comes the phone.
I just bought a subscription at a discounted rate. I got a year for 169.99 or $14.51 a month after listening to a podcast. I like it and I don’t like it. It is great for things that are hard to find or collectibles. If an item sells once every year or so, you can get the data. Newer things eBay works just fine.
I sell a few vintage electronics which helps due to the infrequency that it is sold on eBay.
My thought is if I get one home run due to Worthpoint then its paid for.If you are selling clothes or commodity items then Worthpoint is not needed. eBay has all of that data. If you are selling rare items, it maybe helpful.

Mike.
I use the custom label for date I purchased, where I purchased and how much I payed. Gives me an idea on older inventory and how much wiggle room I have to lower the price if offered.
20180416 Goodwill $0.59
I do the date this way so it is sortable.
Listing on another tab in Chrome. I currently have 2447 listings. My goal is to have 3400 so I can upgrade to an anchor store. The end goal is 10000. Not sure where I am going to put that though.
Make that 2448..
Thing is driving me crazy. I tried to list 10 items last night. After wasting 15 minutes waiting for it, I just listed without the mobile friendly piece.
Come on eBay you are better than this
