We are redoing our bathroom (for the last 6 months) and I was considering installing one, for some reason I thought it had to have hot water. Sounds simple, its going on my Christmas list.
Our cabin has an outlet down by the toilet, I thought it was odd but now I see the genius behind it.

Years ago we were visiting my wife’s family in rural North Carolina I made a stop into the post office to mail out stuff I had in my car. The guy behind me had a lot of packages with ebay labels. I started talking to him and it turns out he sold coffee that can only be found in a few regional stores in his area. I also saw on a forum where a guy sells shedded dear antlers and other woodsy stuff on ebay. So there is always something to find and sell.
Made a huge purchase this week, $1200 for a large lot of new toys, had to rent a 26ft uhaul truck to move it all from the thrift store back to the warehouse. Luckily they do not sell toys in their store for liability/recall reasons so they wanted to move them out at a low price due to the room it was taking up in their warehouse. Of course now it’s taking up room in my warehouse.When I was in China I fell in love with their toilets, it it didn’t cost so much to run electrical and a hot water pipe over to our toilet I would install one of the fancy high end toilets.
Recent storage unit auction, as the auctioneer was giving his little brief my phone went off about 10 times. Needless to say when I bidded on a unit everyone was interested, probably led to some extra bids.
Or, two seconds after someone asks me how well I do with online selling and I say “I do so-so”
Not sure how much time it would save versus creating a template or simply hitting sell similar. Writing all of the information down in access just to convert it and upload, wait for incompleted listing to populate and then add pictures and finishing touches. Its only a few steps removed from just listing it the simple way.
I had the exact conversation with the rep, he said I could try to fight it, but he believed ebay would side with the customer. In the end I chalk it up to a loss and move on, hopefully the karma bug is flying around.

I always felt that RA was an inherently risky business model. The few times I played around with RA it seemed like it was a race to the bottom with every product I found. So many videos and how-to guides showed any motivated seller where to look for the exact same products as the other 6k viewers of the video.
I primarily sell books on AZ, book sellers were slapped with more fees than any other category this February. I am still selling well on AZ but profit have shrunk in conjunction with the new fees. Down at least 20k gross a month. I merchant fulfill more now and only FBA items that I can clearly mark up enough to balance out the new FBA fees.
It seems like you were a highly motivated seller on Amazon, if you apply the same energy to Ebay you will do just fine. In the meantime continue selling what you can on Amazon and use it as a secondary stream of income. We still treat our Amazon as primary, ebay as secondary, but who knows when that will flip.
Like others have said I would just keep it professional, just hit the accept button on the return. Don’t engage in a conversation unless absolutely necessary.
We have had several crazy encounters over the years. My favorite was a prison inmate who would mail us letters about three times a month. Someone bought a book through us and had us ship it to him. I guess he thought we shipped him the book instead of the generous buyer. Luckily his letters let us know he was in for back to back life terms..so no real hope of him getting out… right?

Other high sellers were a $152 Wiseguy dvd set (shrug) and $85 for a set of Ballantine’s WWII books. Separate from ebay I sold $375 worth of torn up firefighter uniforms to our scrap buyer in Germany. On Amazon we sold a full set of Hardy boy books for $303 and a religious reference book set for $285.
Glad the server was switched over I could read the boards for a little while and then they would error out on me. Thought it was just me having issues for the past few weeks.
Just this week I was hit by a scammer, I use that word because I believe it applies, we had a return request on last week’s beachbody dvd sale. A local beacbody trainer donated their entire stock to our local thrift store. About 15 various sealed sets and another 10 sets that were opened. We sold 12 of the sealed sets without problems, the buyer of the most recent set claimed that when he opened the box it was empty. No Dvd’s, manuals, papers or anything. Our shipping weight indicates that package was 3lbs when we mailed it out, I emptied out a similar opened box and it weighs 10oz. Spoke to ebay rep and they said it would basically come down to our word against his and he provided pictures of an empty box so they would side with him.
They did say I could report him and they would keep track to see if he continued making claims against sellers. If it turned into a trend they would get in contact with me. Will see what happens, in the meantime I issued a refund and ate the $150.

• Cost of items purchased this week $150Been awhile since I posted, finally found a part time employee to take some of the pressure off. Amazon is still tanking, with new fees it’s getting harder to make the same net off of similar books. So sliding focus more on to ebay, last four weeks have all been great. Top sellers this was a 1:8 Porsche Car model for $420, set of Goosebumps books for $145 and a Beachbody exercise dvd set for $150.
Went to a moving/storage auction a few weekends ago and bought two wooden moving containers for $600. One of them had a lot of fabric piled up in the front of the container, couldn’t really see anything else but boxes. In the very back was three Singer sewing machines two 221 featherlights and newer Serger model along with a older Pfaff machine. Funny you picked the locks, I used a hammer on one of them and was about to use it on the second when my wife found the keys in the sewing table drawer. The case I used the hammer on was in bad shape anyway (my justification). The machines were great and what I was hoping to find. But, we also have about two hundred lbs of material to sort through and an estimated 500 or so vintage sewing patterns.

Number of items listed this week: 35Decent week, since I haven’t listed much since middle of December. Really illustrates that a strong pipeline can self sustain for awhile. Still not sending any books into FBA, numbers are still holding on Amazon. Lower than what I would get through FBA, but will see what happens when fees change. The process is taking up all of my listing time for ebay.
Top sellers this week was a Merkle motor appliance part for $120, Pimsleur French language set $75 and a Firefighter pair of pants for $60.
Bought a massive amount of books at two library sales, they were expensive but worth it.

How could you tell/look-up the customer/address had many charge backs and lost orders?
We do well with suits and dress shirts, mostly the stuff we bought when mens warehouse went out of business. I want to stop doing clothing but its such an easy stream of income. Cheap to buy, easy to list and relativity fast selling.
It depends on which states your inventory was sent to, what state did the order go to and what are the tax nexus laws for that state, honestly its a nightmare.
