They were MTH Rail King HO size buildings, they were assembled but looked new. You could tell they were never installed, wires were still tied up and no damage around the bases.
Jay outlined some of it. I have made a deal with several local charities and libraries to sell their books online and split the profits. I use some software to cross-list the media items to several venues. Out of the 12,000 ish items about half are media items that we mainly sell on Amazon. If they sell on eBay, great, that’s a little extra. Not really truckloads, maybe 20 banker boxes worth of books a week.
I do buy in bulk at auctions, storage units, store closeouts and anywhere else I can find a good deal.
Still have the warehouse, minus the part-time employees. I really do need to hire someone, my death mountains continue to grow.
Amazon still makes up about 60% of my online sales, followed by ebay, barnes and nobles, alibris and a bunch of other smaller places textbookrush ect.
My 16 year old daughter just put on her resume something to the effect of
“worked in a garage packing ebay and amazon orders for the last 4 years.”
When they decide they need a cell phone its time to put in some work.
I have probably sold over 100 of the Hillbilly Elegy books, I need to take the time to read it.
Keep an eye out for the true first edition of the gunslinger. Mostly black cover with the gunslinger and kid on it. Runs around 400-500.

Thanks for sharing all of the great information! Very factual and not a lot of doom and gloom. Sounds like a really good time, maybe I have a write-off vacation next year.

Money Spent on New Inventory This Month: $ 2200Stopped doing weekly numbers and have been doing monthly only. Decent month but still trending down from last year same period. Purchased a large lot of train buildings from a local charity and doing well on them. Sold 10 for $445 to a customer in Chicago, each building cost $2.50. Other big sales included a Lego Space Shuttle for $150 and Les Paul Signed book for $160.
Finally got over my aversion of estate sales, 10 years of reselling and I never saw the need to go to them. I think the last estate sale I went to was about 9 years ago, it was overpriced and poorly ran. In the last week or so I have been to three very nice estate sales, and made a business contact with one of them that might lead to presale privilege or free post sale items.
Nice video, I like selling oddball stuff like the deed.
There is nothing I have sold that I wished I would have kept…its all goes!
Ok thats a lie, I kept a 1700’s pirate blunderbuss and two civil war sabers I won in a storage unit auction. The rest of it goes!

I would advise against selling Rosetta Stone, yes people get away with it all the time, but they are very active on calling ebay with Vero complaints. They have an end user agreement that prevents selling their software.
They had alot of problems the first few hours. I was trying to list and couldn’t look up any of my products so called it a day. Didn’t buy anything, nothing seemed appealing and most of the deals seemed exaggerated. Mark it up to mark it down strategy. They are projecting over $3billion in sales up from last years $1.4billion.
Whole lot going on here, guess im lazy with my flat 2% cash back visa card. Going to have to check into some of these other cards. Thanks for the tips.
Pudding guy is amazing, 12,500 cups of pudding, how does someone even deal with that much pudding. Even giving it away to the Salvation army and coworkers he must have had a backlog of the stuff lying around.
T-Satt, I believe they are worried about their warehousing overhead along with their “brand” The new fees were a direct result of amazon trying to curtail the container loads of Chinese crap being sent to their warehouses. Along with the new fees they created FBA storage limits based of your products turn over rate. In the past someone could send 5,000 santa clause jingle bell slippers and the low storage costs would allow the seller to sit on the slippers for years without worrying about fees. Now the seller will have a restricted storage space rate that might only allow him to send in 10 slippers until approved to send in more, and they are going to charge long term storage fees every month on those 10 slippers once it gets past six months.
I primarily sell books on amazon and ebay. Defiantly a market for books on ebay. I wouldn’t say a larger audience than amazon. Your main stream, run of the mill type books, will do better on amazon quicker sales for higher dollar amounts. Ebay has a better marketplace for first editions, collectable, pre-isbn books or lots.
I use software to cross list all of my books, 12,000 book listings. Same books and same price on all venues. Sales percentage wise is 80% amazon, 12% ebay, 8% other (alibris, Barnes and nobels ect..)
Almasty, you can still send in books to FBA for a decent profit. Just don’t chase the lowest price, since you win the buy box over non-FBA listers you can raise the price to out-compete the low ball prices. I wouldn’t send in anything higher than 500k rank. Price $3-4 over the lowest price non-FBA seller to make up the difference in fees and it will still sell consistently.
Yes, it a crazy mess on Amazon. Its been getting progressively worse over the last four of five years. It seems like as soon as the get rich quick quru’s started selling courses on private labeling, dropshipping and retail arbitrage the marketplace started taking a dive. So between fake reviews, shoddy Chinese products, and the foreign scammers that cannot seem to curtain and I feel like the consumer base has to start loosing faith in AZ credibility.
On the plus side, as long as the get rich quick folks and foreign scammers focus on amazon they are not corrupting the ebay marketplace.
I would like to find his store to see how he is currently doing with his 4000 listed items. He has several videos up that explain how he wants his process to work. Right now he has everything in a two car garage and its stacked to the ceiling with a small place to process shipment. If that’s 4k items that pretty impressive, but I am use to dealing with bigger items.

I did find a seller with a similar model, 10k clothing items 85% male tops. His feedback is 688 for last month. Mostly best offer so hard to gauge pricing. So I may end up biting my tongue, the model has some merit.
