Mike,
I don’t have Six Bit yet, but looks like I should get duo.
From what you said, it sounds like I can do a search on my ebay items that have “Vintage” in them and then send them over to etsy in bulk. But, if you do 500 and you have to manually enter information, are those 500 listed immediately on etsy or are they in limbo until you fill in the few extra fields that Etsy is looking for?
Mark
Christian,
If they are the original store tags, I would leave them on. I think it adds to the “vintage experience”. If anyone questions it, I would ask them, “Would you expect to pay $600 for a Model T just because that was the selling price at the time?” Of course not!
If the tags were from the garage sale or an estate sale, I would take them off if you could do so without damaging the box.
Mark
Mike,
I would like to cross list to ETSY for the busy season. What is involved with a 500 item bulk list from ebay to Etsy using 6 Bit? How much of your time is involved?

Cost of Items Sold: $ 100
Total Sales: $ 1096.83
Highest Price Sold: $ Over $160 (Sony Betamax)

Number of items listed: 19Gut Sales Report for the week: Another great week. It started to feel like the busy season was starting. Higher STR and ASP. Lots of questions and offers.
Challenge of the week: Storage space is starting to become an issue. It may be possible to rent space at my church or at a church close to me. I hadn’t thought about this before, but this is a good idea. I am going to try cleaning out my garage first and see how that goes, so that I take advantage of free space.
Scavenge of the week: New Dansko Clogs for under $4.

Steve,
What types of items are you selling on FB? Is it mostly stereo equipment?
Mark
Jay,
I am not sure, because I am buying and not selling.
However, I would say a lot of the selling prices are close to ebay prices. Not sure if they are getting that price or not.

09/11/2019 at 7:49 am in reply to: Bicentennial items for the Sestercentennial: Long Tail to the extreme? #67666Silentowl,
I don’t think it is too soon to start looking.
However, you will have to have the additional space to store everything you find. But, what are you going to find that is worthwhile? I have found Bicentennial memorabilia here and there and it has not been worth much. If you find some good pieces, I think you could make some good money with your strategy. I would just do a BOLO (Be On Look Out ) for these pieces, I wouldn’t spend extra time on it.

You must have accurate restaurants where you live. I usually find errors in my bill probably close to 50% of the time. Now I do have a family of 4, so probability of a mistake is probably higher, but still.

Challenge of the week: I shifted my business into overdrive this week by buying stereo equipment on Facebook Market Place (I am starting to feel like this part of my business is turning closer to Steven Schultz’s business model). My daughter says I am getting too professional at the pickups. One guy realized how quick and efficient I was and asked if I was a flipper.
Scavenge of the week: This may be the last good weekend for garage sales in Michigan. Picked up several great items: 1. Got some new Ford Coil Springs for half price at the thrift store (mentioned this on the blog this past week). 2. This was a scrat scavenge – I picked up a Pokemon Master Trainer Board for $1.50. I didn’t know if it was worthless or worth a lot. Turns out I can get at least $100 for it. 3. Picked up 4 Mid-Century chairs for $10. I am going to sell them for about $50 each. 4. Picked up a 1970’s Coleman Large Red Cooler for $15 5. Picked up a nice Varsity Jacket for $3. The lady at the garage sale thought I was crazy for buying it because I didn’t go to that school (she asked me if I went to the school).

I bought the coil springs because they were 50% off (got for $29.99). I determined from this listing:
that they fit 1980-1996 Ford F150 Bronco.
So, if I use the listing above and sell similar, the vehicles fitment chart should be automatically populated?
