It has been a great week\month. February has been a slow month for me in the past – much less than 3% sell through rate. February has been great this year. Only at about 3% sell through rate, but I’m selling much higher priced items.
I track my historical sell through rates and this is the basis for my future forecast. Ad they say in stocks, “Past Performance is no indication of Future results”. This is true, but they also say, “.. but that is all we have to go on”. I think this is true. My actual performance is usually very close to my historical numbers, but it can differ such as this month has.

I have an idea that could make you some additional money and help out a lot of scavengers.
My idea is Steve’s Stereo Institute. You could offer a hands on course on how to acquire, fix, and ship stereo equipment, etc. You could host it a hotel near you or do a web meeting. You could charge like $100 per student for the hands on or less for a web meeting.
Not sure if this is something that interests you, but I know I would be interested in learning more about what you do.

I take a different approach on shipping long items such as board games. It takes a little more work, but works great.
I tape 2 priority boxes together. I use the 1092 (ID 12.125 X 2.75 X 13.375) and the 1097 (11.5 X 2.375 X 13.125). This is fairly easy, but you do have to use a lot of tape to make it secure. The people at the Post Office often praise me for this being smart, they have never said don’t do it.
I find that this is usually a lot cheaper most of the time than the flat rate game box.

Pretty good week so far. I sold a snow board last night, so that was great, but then I had to pack it. Couldn’t find any box to fit the 43″ board so I made my own box. I taped 2 medium priority tube mailers together length wise. That didn’t quite cover the top of the board, so I took a small tube and cut and taped it width wise to cover the top. Put a flap from a 12x12x9 on the bottom. Nearly 1 roll of tape later it was ready to go. Ryanne was my inspiration for this!
Ryanne – that’s how I read it, Turbo Lister will be an Offline inventory management tool for Bonanza. However, since you and I both have all of our ebay inventory on Bonanza, it will have the same effect of backing up all of our ebay listings.

Goals for 2017
Growing my number of listed items is top on my list. I am on the brink of 2000 items listed right now (1970 items, including a hand full of scheduled items). I have an aggressive schedule of listing 200+ items per month. I have been able to stick to that in November and December of 2016. This is only possible because I have a contractor doing all the listing for me. If I can keep up the pace, I will have over 3000 listed items by the end of the year.
I have a full time job and family also, so this is going to be a challenge. But I know the goal and have a plan to get there. I’m ready for all the great things awaiting in 2017!
I was reading the Bonanza “2016 in Review, Annual Survey Online” and came across this note related to Turbo Lister:
“Offline inventory management tool. More than 10% of our eBay sellers rely on TurboLister, so we were pretty shocked to learn eBay would stop supporting it in June of 2017. We’re currently finalizing a partnership that should let us revive an improved version of this venerable tool before support for TurboLister officially ends.”
So, looks like it will live on!
