Number of items listed this week: 20 (listed at $320)Dealt with my files that vanished last week – rebuilt them from my backups. That took a lot of time unfortunately. Also had one mouse (probably actually a vole) get himself into my sump pump and another got into the house in the basement. Awesome. That is where I work and store all of my inventory. We caught those two but I am concerned more will get in, so I am having a pest company seal up all the holes they can find (for an absurd price) next Monday. For now, traps. Sometimes wish I was better at doing home repairs myself, but it will probably be much better done by an expert. So overall a pretty crappy listing week because of these issues.

Number of items listed this week: 46 (listed at $748)Had a bit of a setback on last Monday – so late posting this. For some reason my external hard drive where I store my files deleted any files I used on Sunday. 🙂 I checked the recycle bin and searched the whole drive to see if they had just been moved, but they have vanished. This included my main profit spreadsheet, my Etsy inventory spreadsheet, and a couple other things. I have a backup… but it was a month old. Great. So, these files and some others are going on Google Drive for constant backup now. Hopefully that will prevent the problem in the future.
Omfug – Sorry I am slow to respond, but thanks! I also have high hopes for the holiday season on Etsy. My Etsy shop specializes in vintage toys and kids books, and every year I get a nice bump in sales for the holidays!
On another note – I was still thinking about extreme scavenging stories. This one isn’t exactly extreme, but fits with the theme. I took my daughter to the zoo a couple weeks back and she wanted to put some coins in the giant coin funnel thing they have (not sure what to call it, but you set a coin on a ramp and it rolls around in big circles down this giant funnel). Anyway, I did not have any coins to give her. I told her if she could find any coins while we were at the zoo then she could put them in the funnel. She scoured the place (also note that she is 3, I thought she would give up pretty quickly). She found $1.10 in coins at the zoo. She was quite proud of herself and decided to keep the coins to put in her piggy bank at home. 🙂 I was impressed.

It is insured and has signature confirmation on it, but I really want it to arrive with no problems. I think it may be my biggest sale so far (for a single item).
Packing 200 orders – to me this would be so daunting. Overwhelming!

Also, I bought 11 unopened / unused Christmas cross stitch kits at a garage sale a few weeks ago for a dollar apiece and just got them listed. So far 3 have sold for $35, $60 and $100! So excited!!

Returns: 0, but I mailed a package to a customer’s old address (they messaged me with the new address). I was just in such a hurry to get things together for my vacation that I forgot about their message. It came back to my house and I mailed it to their new address. The customer was very gracious and patient.
Number of items listed this week: 0Out of town for vacation starting on Tuesday. These stats are just for the one day the shop was open. On other vacations I have left the shop open and extended handling time, but this time I just closed the shop so there was no extra stress. I had already had enough stress from the hurricane (and I was just visiting Florida, I felt very bad for the people who live there).
