Hi Jay, I have no documentation, this is all from several discussions I had with managed payments reps and most recently I did a call with ebay send team that was one on one. Anyone else do this (it was sent as a meeting invitation through ebay). It stinks that this is not documented anywhere for us, believe me I asked. So take it all with a grain of salt!
I have been doing a lot of research. Everyone will be moving to managed payments eventually and they are using eBay Send as a replacement for GSP initially (available Jan 26th). GSP may be available eventually on managed payments, or they may stick with ebay Send, even ebay doesn’t know yet.
Hi All! I dropped out last year as I had to concentrate on other things, but I would like to join you this year, I think it is a great goal!- Libby
Yes, I will keep you posted, they have a free trial but it is only 3 days or 20 listings and I don’t feel I can test with that limitation.
Yes, I hear you, the inventory management is why I originally stopped cross posting, it got overwhelming and I had the storefront to consider as well. This is a huge pain point, so I think any cross lister I use will have to manage that as well. Great point!
Yes, so far this is one of the tools I was going to research! List Perfectly. Thank you!
Yes, we share some viewpoints I see! I had pared down to just ebay at some point, and I use that as my basis (everything gets listed on ebay). I had come to the conclusion that it was not worth the time or effort to cross post (with the exception of large furniture items). I started to branch out and cross post one item per day, starting with the higher value items to other platforms just to see what happens. Platforms other than ebay account for about 15% off my sales at this point. Doing it manually is barely worth it monetarily.
Why do I do then? I am working to build my brand independent of ebay. I would like to know that if ebay went away or I got suspended, I have other venues. This is especially important because I do consignment, and consignors depend on me to sell their items.
Would love to hear thoughts or feedback, I have been all over the map on this issue! -LibbyYes, this is similar to what I have been doing as well.
That is great thank you! I know there isn’t one to handle everywhere I list, but I was hoping to find one that worked for ebay, poshmark, mercari . . .I have read some of T-Satt information on SixBit, but that is not for me. I have a POS software I use to ring all sales and track inventory already since I do consignment. So appreciate your response! -Libby
10/10/2019 at 5:10 pm in reply to: Reporting my 72 hr Listing ban on ebay for being a violator… #68865Any information on the word Persian being used? Ebay said we could use it, so does the problem only apply to rugs? Does anyone have a clear situation where there was a violation or ebay took down your listing? I have some persian wool vintage items and ebay said they were okay but as we all know, that is subject to change. Just looking for more information on the “persian” description. Thanks!
Many thanks for all your feedback. I actually purchased a rollo printer after some research. I had done a lot of printing from my phone, so I am wondering if I can make a print server so I can still do that?
Basically, it came down to price! I couldn’t find a deal on any used ones that were under $100This will work for anyone using PayPal. Managed payments just spurred me to make the change. I think quite a few scavengers do this already so they can get the credit card points.
I finally found a fellow seller able to help with changing the charges from paypal to another method. Here are the instructions that were provided to me:
log into Paypal, go to the bottom of the page and click on SITEMAP. On the left click on any of the choices under MY PROFILE AND SETTINGS, on the left, click on MONEY, BANKS AND CARDS. Scroll to the bottom and click on SET AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS. In the list, click on EBAY INC SHIPPING. Click CANCEL. When you print your next label, it will ask you to set up a new subscription. It will take you back to PayPal again but at that point, you tell it what cc you want to useOkay now that I am opted in….I need to change my method of paying for shipping labels. All the instructions I can find online are outdated, and don’t work. I would like to pay via credit card for shipping labels. Can someone help? Thanks in advance! Libby
Thanks so much, I just took the leap, we used to ship direct internationally but really got spoiled and hooked on GSP. Time to wean off of it I guess. Appreciate your help!
