I have no idea has people work in childcare. They dont get paid enough to take care of a roomful of kids each and every day.
Hope you’re feeling better. We’ve only had COVID once, but if we had it again, I’d definitely use Paxolid.
I’ve never taken the drive over to Harrisonburg.
It’s a fun town. You can feel the excitement as Richmond and Charlottesville stop being affordable for young people after college graduation. Its nice being around people in their 20’s/30’s.
Had my first good run through a thrift store in ages last week. Went to a Goodwill that I haven’t been to in years. Used to be very mediocre. Last week I walked out with a grocery cart full. Most exciting find was a cool tiki mug that should sell for $80.
I would love a world where Goodwill was a good source of inventory. I’m sure its different location to location. We walked through our local Goodwill recently. All junk!
Nice to see your numbers havent gone down after all this time away. Did you and your partner ever buy that house so she could go back to school? Hows your back?
Two of my best pipelines are Art Markers and Smartwool Socks.
I dont remember the story of where you found a hoard of markers and socks.
Thanks Christine. We know the hard work always pays off. Just necessary stress trying to manage all the details.
I love haring about the things you’re finding on the street. Do you sell it all on Facebook Marketplace? or do you also crosslist to Craigslist?
Clothes (especially for women) have a lot of returns. Clothes fit different on different bodies.
If you want to sell clothes, returns are just part of the game.
You’ve really had a banner year. Inspiring! I’m going to credit most of that to your skills of identifying quality inventory.
Other than the premium hoard, what other items are selling for you? Is it all over the place, or have you gone deep into one category?
I did a little googling and didnt find anything since we cant read the name. If you knew what type of plane that is, you could maybe google the “name of the plane + Melissa + artist”
We’ve definitely learned to love the sales on Facebook, even though dealing the facebook buyers can be annoying. ust have to put the work in to listing.
What are you selling on Facebook?
That’s awesome you’ve figured out a life that works. You obviously know that if you can hold old longer, you’ll get higher monthly social security pay out.
We also purchased all the land around our house for protection. Never a bad investment!
Positive story! Also good to hear from you. How’s your lfe these days after the big move from the beach? You timed that move well before COVID.
Our experience with USPS is pretty good. But like you, we always ask for photos, refund the buyer immediately, then try to get an insurance claim.
With train collectors, do yoiu have issues with people making offers, then not paying after you accept?
