That’s really cool. Kind of hope I run across one now.
Special editions (look for any color variation from standard), modded consoles, older consoles in the original boxes.
Cleaning, testing though can be time consuming…my son always helps with that though.
That can be a good or a bad thing some days. LOL…some don’t make it to auction for awhile.
I’m thinking incense burner as well, made to hold a one stick in the center?
?? I do like the teardrop shape though.
Here she is: http://i.imgur.com/uS90Dnx.jpg
The second one in back. LOL
That first one isn’t mine, although they do get close to the same gas mileage.Thinking about getting a small beater for some of the locating, and keeping the other on the sidelines just for pickups.

icequeen.
For the outdoor ones…good shoes, fanny/hip sack, look poor and lots of $1.00 and small bills like Amatino mentioned because some may not have enough change, backpack or my favorite shopping cart with wheels. Take a partner if you can.
Get there early, like almost help them unload early… start in the back while most of the non-regulars might still be unpacking and this way you’re done before it gets hot and crowded…or stop in late when they’re sun burnt, fed up and ready to give what’s left away by the box load.
Around here the front booths by the concession stand, bathroom facilities, or shade trees are always the dealers, collectors, or the vendors selling new stuff.
Also bottled water, quick snacks in the car, baby wipes, band aids, rain poncho, etc. I have a truck without a cap and always stash some extra large trash bags and an old quilt behind the seat, a couple of empty latching storage totes secured with a cargo bar in back.
No matter how hard I try at using re-usable bags shopping by the end of every month I still end up with plastic bags collecting in the closet. Scrunched up they make great packing material, I use them a lot for filling the voids inside bowls, vases, or cups and then follow with bubble wrap and air pillows, sometimes I scrunch them up to fill tiny voids in corners or on the sides of a bubble wrapped item also, they don’t shift, they keep stuff from moving around, and don’t add to the weight. I double box the really fragile stuff.
I hesitate to say this because I have a couple really fragile things to list…but so far my score has been one casualty in the last 15 years…and it was unverifiable because she “was unable to upload a picture” of the broken item (a small candy dish)…but total cost wasn’t enough to make me want to question it. I’m not a high volume seller like many here, but have sold more glassware than I ever wanted to, because I didn’t want it broken here.
We are a corelle, paper plate, tervis tumbler type of family, with a cat that pushes stuff off the table.
I like the idea about covering things with a bed sheet. I lost half a table full of stuff just going to get my truck one night.
My MIL was with me and said she’d keep an eye on stuff, but she wandered off to talk to someone. She also hi-jacked a huge bin full of linens I won when I was unloading her stuff later…LOL
Still got way more than my money’s worth, but that seems to happen a lot around here.
Lesson learned…bring sheets, keep a close eye on the MIL.
Wow, another ice_queen, just saw this!! I’ve used this on a few forums. My ex husband dubbed me years ago with this and I just kind of embraced it. LOL
More than coffee here maybe…or are they bidding it up and not paying for some strange reason?
But if anyone wants to grab some…this stuff is still showing in stock at Amazon for $8.98 a box & FREE shipping.
Weird.
Try Botswana Coiled Basket, I think it’s African. Or Swallow’s tail basket (that looks like the pattern I think??).
I think sometimes it depends on the auctioneer too. We have one that does table/group lots at the end of every auction of the remaining stuff he didn’t get to or isn’t in the star attraction list. You’ll purchase everything on the table or in the group sometimes for $2.00. I love those. Sometimes there’s a lot of junk to wade through, but I’ve found a lot of treasure.
Most likely not. But a tester is always a nice thing to have.
One thing I’ve learned being a picker. If it’s in the trash, throw it in the back of the truck and debate later.
The absolute worst that happens is you put it back out for trash, because it turns out to be trash…and that’s seldom. I donate stuff by the truckload, and put a lot out for other pickers some times because I find way too much for one person to deal with at times.
Similar question…my laptop is 6+, so far I’ve replaced the keyboard, the hard drive, and the fan…and it’s going to need another keyboard soon. I have a couple of desktops laying around and a nice big lcd monitor…the specs are good, but none are running updated operating systems.
Anyone use solely Linux for listing/selling? I’ve ran it before, just never used it on the computer I used for listing. Wondering if anyone encountered any drawbacks?
