I haven’t used it on a car finish but their website shows them using it to take off tar from a car, so I would think it would work. I have used it on other metal items with no issues. My only concern would be the decals. If they are adhesive decals, it might take them off too.
I use undu or rubber cement thinner for old masking tape. It works better than goo gone. I’ll put it on and let it soak in for a while and then slowly work on removing the tape and old adhesive.

Check out M-Bags like Timo suggested. I used to use them to ship books to Europe years ago. They are quite a bit cheaper. The post office will provide you with a large, sturdy bag and a tag. I used to box the books and then put them in the M-Bag. If your friend goes the M-bag route, be sure to label the boxed books with their address and the buyers address in case the boxes get separated from the M-bag.

It’s been a while since my son went through the process. He ended up going to our local junior college and then transferred to a 4 year program. It worked out really well for him. He was able to go at his own pace and graduated with no student loan debt.
Check out Occidental College, in Eagle Rock, since your son is interested in Marine Biology. They have a really good science department and their own boat for the Marine Biology department. And a added bonus, he’ll be close to home!

Ebay has had this issue for quite a while now. Amazon has the same problem. I have made it a part of my daily routine to check and make sure the stuff I have sold is marked sold on Amazon and Ebay. Every day I find at least one item that is still marked as in stock.
I would keep them both. If one breaks down, you have car #2 to run to town to get parts, especially since you are in a rural area.
I worked at a library that did the same thing. The books I saved from the garbage!
Has your library talked to Thrift books? That’s who we give our discards to now. They take everything, but they have a warehouse in our city so we are able to deliver the books to them.
Good find! I was racking my brain trying to figure out what set has 176 books in it! lol Automobile Quarterly usually sell well for us too. I’ve never run across a large set of them though. Hope your sale goes through.
Ask at your local post office about the International media mail rates using a M-bag. If I remember correctly, you can ship up to 70 pounds per bag and the rate is much cheaper than the usual rates. The post office supplies the bag and an address label for the bag. You can also put multiple boxes in the bag because you wouldn’t want to ship 70 pounds of books in one box. I wouldn’t ship more than 20 pounds of books per box. If you do use the M-bag, make sure you address the boxes too in case a box gets loose from the bag.
