@Julie keep us posted. It would be interesting if the person was willing to talk about recent charges. There is a lot of speculation going on in seller groups. I’ve seen Kathy on YouTube and besides her romper room approach there is also very little real content.
Just 14 for me this week. I was volunteering and we have family in town.
We put almost everything back in the garage except at the plumbing problem area. Now all of my listed boxes are together and I have a little warehouse isle on a gorilla rack and bookshelf. My husband is not thrilled with the cardboard boxes and packing materials. I told him some of that just comes with the territory unfortunately. On the upside, I’m working on the piles. My kid is not in camp this week so not as temping to go to GW after drop off and buy anything new. I probably have about 40 boxes and bins of stuff to list here. It will be nice to see it further reduced.

Number of items listed this week: 14Solid week on Ebay but I didn’t break 400 listings unfortunately. Should make it this week even with my daughter off. I’m trying to get up a handful of listings each day to keep my account active. I have a few boxes of RA left in inventory but recently listed vintage is mostly what’s selling off now.
Last time I used time away it did cut my sales and then I got a little short bump on expiration. If anyone can find treasure lying around NYC it’s you two. Happy Hunting!

My college roommate is a professional stager in Palm Springs and Seattle – she buys from them. I just looked at their site for the first time in a while and it looks like they along the lines changed from running everything through them to having sellers list directly. Also interesting this Pink Book of solds (like Terapeak) https://www.chairish.com/pinkbook
Busy right now, but I wonder how this would compare to Ebay. Maybe somebody on the forum knows. Charish has a smaller audience but shoppers who are used to paying high prices.

I wonder if you could pluck out of your “fly over land” things like that and sell via Chairish? https://www.chairish.com/maker/paul-frankl
07/21/2022 at 5:55 pm in reply to: Diecast car, Hot Wheels accessory, Vintage VCR, Pinup Postcards, Patio Furniture #97068When I make my variation listing on the desktop, I put in a photo of the actual single item for each variation. Unfortunately, I think currently in the mobile app that is not shown to the buyer. So it might be best practice for us to specifically put “ONE
pack xyz” in that area. However, you will still get someone like this from time to time and all of the same comments above still apply. There are always people who don’t read/in a hurry, etc.First of all, yeah I totally get bugged initially when something like this happens, but it’s rare. I can usually see one or two ways I could have made something clearer. However, I would totally do a variation listing on something like this. Alternatively, I might lists lots though as a buyer I would like your flat shipping and quantity discount. In any case I always just refund or partially discount at buyer’s option under $25/30 and move on. The minute I get a whiff of aggressiveness I start returning or refunding. I consider it a cost of doing business on EBay. My lack of negative feedback is worth more to me than being right or the time and frustration to contact EBay. Listening to SL helped give me this mentality.
@Retro you made me smile with your Cheap Girl Summer comment. My ASP was way down last week so I can relate. A couple of sellers on Facebook we’re suggesting focusing on listing more low dollar items. For someone like me with lots of unlisted inventory on hand to choose from, I might consider that approach. Someone else pointed out that wealthy people are still buying but in my experience with both businesses, those people do slow down too on spending when something of this magnitude evolves. It is always a bit weird when some totally random unnecessary item sells high during times like these.
Great costumes. I was hand sewing trim on corsets for the Little Mermaid camp musical yesterday. I know just enough to be dangerous and I was quite slow.
I listed 53 items but a few were multiples. I’m listing like a mad woman when I get into the grove. Tearapeak really helps. I’m so grateful for that feature.

Number of items listed this week: 53Sales were meh compared to my listing efforts. Hoping to hit 400 items this week, should be a good week for listing as my daughter is getting ready for her camp musical. We had to empty most of the garage for the demo and I did discover some things were no longer listed. Also just a few RA items I never listed. I even have a few items left from that long ago Ebay hiccup deleting all but one photo. So some inventory check, maintenance and sell similar is in order at some point. I feel like I’m getting a little bit sloppy about cleaning and photographing items in my zeal to just get stuff up. I was also better about not shopping much this week but Goodwill just also didn’t really have tempting things. I was on a streak there going mid-day until this week.
Have fun in NYC. Easier to walk the streets in the summertime. 🙂 I’ve been lagging on booking plane tickets for August and the prices just jumped way up. 🙁
Indy thrifts are great. Unfortunately I’m seeing a lot more people thrifting though during the pandemic. There is now a 45 minute wait to get into my favorite at opening. A lot more high school and college kids shopping clothing.
We only have one Goodwill and it’s in a really central location. Stuff really moves there. They have a couple of better brand clothing and shoe racks and they do send stuff to corporate I think. However, I really have noticed that it depends on the manager and staff has a huge turnover. The current manager seems to like to keep things moving. Also it’s easier to just throw stuff out on the floor, especially breakable items which I deal in. I do notice though that they never have good smalls – zero jewelry, lighters, belt buckles. I bet they just ship all of that out to corporate.
The regional chain seems to go through large swings in pricing. Right now demand is high so they have really hiked their prices. At other times in the past they had to advertise lowering of prices to get people back in.
27 items for me. Not ready yet for goals/challenges. I’m just kind of grabbing what is recent / in the way at this time.

Number of items listed this week: 27Sales were slow for me this week but I found my second best item ever – https://www.ebay.com/itm/334496986587 this fancy art glass for $14.99. Battle story – I went in to Goodwill and it was in the case, I looked at it but didn’t have time to wait in line and pay or even look up the signature before I picked up my kid. I went back two hours later and it was still there! Unfortunately it has some surface scratches which is a real bummer but hopefully I’ll get an offer. Hoping for stronger sales and listing time should be quite good this week.
Had to move in the inventory as the garage will be worked on this week. Kind of a good opportunity to find some things that weren’t listed and reorganize. Hope everyone has a good week!
Listed 16 items. Happy 4th.
