11/08/2017 at 11:44 pm in reply to: Recycled, resized Regional A box fits perfectly in a Padded Flat Rate Envelope #25309I don’t know if this helps or confuses things, but when I put a small flat rate box into a polymailer to protect the item I was shipping (I sent it first class 8oz.) , the lady at the post office when she grabbed it to put it in a tote gave me a look. She said, “This sure feels like a small flat rate box inside.” I didn’t say anything and understood that it was her nice way of giving me a warning. Now I must say in my defense that the box itself had already been used and I was just re-using it. I hate to throw away perfectly usable boxes. She didn’t seem to like it and I was made to understand that as a practice that was frowned upon at the post office.
Thank you all for the help. I wish I could be more specific so the help could be even more so. In any case, the picture/painting is 17X24 approximately. It appears to at first be watercolor, but some fine lines look otherwise. I am guessing it is either an oil or maybe mixed ? Can they do watercolor and oil? I thought the date on the back was 1939 so it just makes me think there weren’t that many types of paints back then compared to modern paints. Amatino, when you say send a macro do you just mean a photo on the macro setting? I am not a camera buff–
again many thanks–

I for one am thinking about eBay daily. In the business world, I guess they are constantly looking at sales growth and that equals relevance? I don’t know anywhere else where I can get my kid a pair of baseball cleats that he probably will grow out of before the end of the season for 15 bucks shipped to my door? The exact cleats he likes and knows and loves and they are already broke in and not broke! We are the ones who can help ourselves by talking about eBay and pumping it up. Is Amazon going to take over the world?
Keep Smilin’ and Keep Listing
thank you for all the responses–I just don’t find much I guess. The brand names help a bunch.
Scavenge your Day Away!
Brands that are always good sellers (price/time) for me are Canali, recent Brooks Brothers, and recent Ermengildo Zegna. Others will sell, but might take time. Usually larger sizes fetch better prices.
Thanks for the responses. I have heard about vintage lights, but have never found any. I just wanted to see if there was something I might have been missing. I frequently see lots of stuff after Halloween (Or any Holiday) and I wanted to make sure I didn’t pass something up I should buy. I don’t usually look thru that stuff as it all looks like made in China stuff that is not worth re-selling. I don’t know–maybe something (holiday) cool that I have never heard of?
What I am always on the look out for is military stuff. There is a lot of stuff out there and it is fun for me to do the research and think about who used it, where it was used and when. I am a history geek I guess. One thing that I always peruse the racks for are leather flight jackets. If you find a Cooper or Avirex they usually go for 100-150 bucks or so. I find them from 10-20 bucks–not HUGE profits but definitely worth your time–they always sell. Larger sizes are the better money makers L or XL
Buyer backed out–boooooooo
It wasn’t up long (like a week) so I am encouraged and it should sell pretty soon.
Thanks a million Jay–the couch is an English Made leather couch. Chesterfield I think they call it.
Great Advice–I truly appreciate the help.
Thanks for the help. I didn’t think about all of those things. They will be hiring some sort of moving company because they are out of state–does that change anything for you?

Am I glad I heard your podcasts first. I don’t do this full time and I don’t have the time to experiment. You saved me time and my family money.
thanks again–you’re great!
