Thanks Sonia, I had no idea GoDaddy Bookkeeping would sync with Ebay. I’ll probably be switching over from Quickbooks now!
That’s exactly the one I had recently heard about. I may give it a shot, but honestly I just wondered if spending the $50 would be worth it. I’d like to have a form where when I sell something it will automatically update the sheet…something a personal Excel won’t do, because I’d have to manually do it. Hmmm…may give the auction tracker a shot.
Following up on my end too….Ebay reversed the decision to be in my favor. I had to prove quite a few things, but they came around and didn’t side with the buyer. I’m completely relieved that Ebay has my back and did the right thing. It does take persistence to show you’re telling the truth, but it’s worth it so that dishonest buyers don’t just walk away free and clear. Relieved!
I just want you to know that you aren’t in the boat alone. I had a buyer purchase an item from me in April. They claimed it wasn’t the color pictured (it was). I accepted the return knowing that I’d end up having to pay for the return shipping since I know Ebay wouldn’t have sided with me anyways.
Well after 60 days the buyer sends me a package….with a completely different item.
So I started a case and messaged the buyer and it’s been another month. No word from anyone, Ebay nor the buyer. So I went to a different link on Ebay and emailed Ebay. They responded saying that the buyer is now claiming they sent the item, but that I didn’t receive it and I need to call the Post Office. I have photos of the package from the buyer that I’ve literally sent everyone.
Clearly the buyer is a THIEF and they’ve done this before. Mind you, the buyer has never responded to any of my messages. Today I got a message stating that the case has been closed, in the buyer’s favor. So I’m out over $90 dollars.
I’ve started an appeal, because how can a case be closed when the buyer hasn’t even responded to me?????
I’m told I should hear back within 72 hours. Here’s hoping someone at Ebay does the right thing.
Plain and simple…I’ve been robbed.
Last update…if you start clicking different topics and scrolling down you have a chance of catching the chat link!
Funny story…I refreshed the page and the link for Ebay to call you is now gone again.
So the chat link used to be there and then it disappeared and the only final link left was “contact the buyer.”
Now it’s giving the option to either contact the buyer or have Ebay call me. So I’m having them call me.
This is SUCH a mess. Ebay support for sellers is gone. I’ve had a return open for over 3 months and finally got a response today (because yesterday I found a new page to send a message to) and customer service responded with a totally different topic! I wish I were kidding.
As a seller this is all VERY worrying as it feels like we are now all alone.
I’m hoping they will call me. I’m also wondering if in the future when I may need them…will the help links be gone again?
Oh just found it! Thanks for the recommendation. I didn’t know that existed.
Thank you so much for the reply! What is Ebay for Business on FB?
They started the return in April which Ebay automatically approved and they sent me a different item that arrived today.
Oh for sure blocking them. Thank goodness for that at least!
Mickdog I do that too! No need for a bad buyer to ruin my good mood! If they are throwing the red flag then I’m adding the block. It’s just not worth it.
Thanks, that’s what I was thinking too. I appreciate it!!
Thanks everyone, checking in with local businesses is a great idea. I’m going to get right on that.
Guys how did I never know this??!! I guess I have some reading to do.
