A funny week….I’ve had two shoppers this week send me nasty messages after I declined their LOWBALL offers saying that my two separate items were over priced and how no one will ever buy them. Both actually said I had to come down in price. Literally said the words, “I had to.”
I also had two international customers tell me that I had to include a free item with their purchase, because international shipping is so high for them.
I would say something’s in the water, but there is ALWAYS going to be shoppers that want to tell you your prices are high only because they can.
At least we have the block box.
So many opinions out there….so little time. :)))))

The Entitled Generation in action.
Off eBay I was told to sew one of my dancers a skirt, because she liked the design of the one that didn’t fit her. Not please, or could you? “Sew me a skirt like this in my size.”
I had the same simple answer for her as I do for eBay buyers who give me the same attitude: “No.” I don’t even justify my response.

I had a Mercari user message me that my price on a Funko Pop was too high because not one would buy it with a damaged box. Well, it sold, full asking price, within a week on Ebay. The buyer was super happy to get it at a decent price and didn’t mind the box damage.
It took a lot of self control to not write a snide message back to the Mercari user.
I’m not looking to the expansion of opinions as I expand my store. -

I had a guy ask if I took offers on an item this weekend. Messaged back, “Depends on the price but fire away.” Gave me a decent 25% off price + shipping but talked down the quality of the item and mentioned how important careful packing would be. Those are kinda red flags for me but I send him an offer for the amount listed and assure him I pack well.
He doesn’t buy the item and 24 hours goes by. Then I get an email today saying that he is about to buy the item but he’d like free shipping and boy it is in bad condition and you better pack really well…. So I ended the listing, relisted it, added him to my block list, and then sent a message saying I didn’t appreciate the last minute switch of terms and I’ve removed my offer.
He then sent a flurry of messages, which I didn’t read that I’m sure were not sweet love notes! That is my personal policy to keep my sanity. The moment I block you I never read another message from you. It hurt to lose a potential $80 sale but when people degrade me or the item, I want nothing to do with them.

Had a fun one this weekend.
Buyer asked me to measure the cuff width on a pair of jeans priced at $30. I got the measurement for him, he said thanks, then made an offer. His offer was…$12. I declined and he sent a new offer of $17. I declined again and he sent a message that said “Do you want to make a counteroffer and we can negotiate from there? Might be a good idea”.I replied “I would have been happy to if your offers were worth countering.”
He responded “That’s fair” and then made a reasonable offer. I countered and he accepted. I did check his feedback left for others before I accepted his offer.
Sometimes things work out for the best.

Mickdog I do that too! No need for a bad buyer to ruin my good mood! If they are throwing the red flag then I’m adding the block. It’s just not worth it.

I had a person contact me and thank me for the offer but then explain how they just bought the same mug from someone else for 14 dollars. Went on to tell me mine was too high… blah blah blah. Anyway it sold yesterday for the full price of 45 bucks! Kind of hoped that person was still a watcher but they probably moved on to telling someone else how to price their merchandise.
