If that is stiff, and the photos look like it is, that could be belting. The kind of belting that you would use to cover with matching fabric for your dress or skirt. Been there done that, many times, mainly in the 60’s & 70’s.
That really does work. But a word of warning…do not use Magic Eraser on the outside of your pot. It takes the shine off. Just clean with white vinegar or hydrogen peroxide and dawn.
So Mike you are saying that I now have more to worry about with the non-secure info? I don’t paste and copy anything in my listing. I’m old fashioned and do my own listings and don’t copy other listings. I might look at other listing but I don’t steal their content, yes I think it’s stealing when you take someone’s listing content, photos or anything else in their listing.
I can only hope that http content from SSB will not be affected.I have had the same message and problem since Monday. On Monday I had two that said I had contact info in listing and now it is up to 120+.(2000+ in my store) The first rep that I talked to said he didn’t see any contact info in the listing. I knew there was no info before I called. When the count got up to 80+ I called again. A different rep told me it was the link to my listing service site. I list with Seller Sourcebook and they have a link at the bottom of the listing. That was the problem.(That’s not the problem) I fixed a few that I had time to fix but I keep getting more. All of my listing were created in SSB so I guess they are just filtering through them and I will eventually have a bunch more if not all of my listings.
The bad news is that there is no bulk fix. Each listing will have to be done one at a time. I’m still working on active content (I know..I know I need to get it done, I’m working on it). But the good news is that you can do them both at the same time.
In the seller hub go to the contact list, number highlighted in red.
Choose a listing, choose edit.
Scroll down to item listing information
On right side go to NEW Mobile-Friendly Checker, click
Choose Item Description Checker, you should see a red highlighted message “we found non-compliant links”. At the bottom you will see what the link is that needs to be fixed.
Click on update and you will see the corrected link. My link to correct is the “see my other items link”.
Click on update and you will see the corrected update.
Save!! One done.
The bad news is that you have to correct each one individually.
I just about cried when the rep told me that there was no bulk fix. I simply don’t have time to do all these fixes, list everything I need to list, get more ready to list, and take care of my husband and everything that has to be done at home. There just isn’t enough time in a day to do it all. I need the ebay income so I just keep trying to get something done when I can.
I’m so mad at ebay right now because if we have to fix all of these things they should have a way to bulk fix them. There was a scandal in eastern NC a few years ago about the GW executive for the region. He earned a cool 1 million in salary and his wife was an executive and so we’re several of his children. For their giving back to the community project they had a farm that produced vegetables for local families and some went to the food bank. Since then several new GW have opened in the area. Our stores never have sales on anything and will never sell anything lower than the marked price. They had rather send it back to the distribution center than sell an item. I’m guessing that they send it back out to another store.I have noticed what seems like purchased merchandise in some of the stores but I could be wrong.

Can you check(online) your local home building supply stores? Home Depot, Lowe’s or what is in your area and find out exactly what it is and how it is used. The ones used today may be different but you should be able to tell what its for and how it works and get an idea of the price. I’m sure the ones today are made more cheaply so yours should be more valuable. It says Airstream but does it look like it’s for a travel trailer?
Another one for the crazy return file!!
I sold an Orvis jacket on July 31 and received a long ebay email telling me that the jacket had “significant damage”. Never asked to return or partial refund. Just basically a rant about how this item was “misrepresented”. Ok…that is your opinion and I didn’t respond. Didn’t want the drama. Then I received a rant about why didn’t I answer her first email. Long volume of why I am dirt. Still no request for any action. I tried to respond with short answers and professionally. I apologized. Then she wanted my cell number so she could send me photos. No way keep it on ebay. Then she sent a photo, extreme close up of the collar to my email. I happened to notice a caption on the close up photo that said the button had been resewn. What? So I asked her again to keep everything on ebay. She sent the photo thru ebay and now she has decided that she will open a return and “let ebay decide”. We all know how ebay will decide but that is fine. I think she wants to keep the jacket but wanted a partial refund so I’m hoping that she will drop the idea of a return. So far the button thing is the only specific damage she has produced.
Does anyone who lists clothing check to see if the buttons have been resewn? I check to make sure that they are all there but I have never checked to see if they had been re-attached. I think a re-attached button would stand out.I wish I could get more than 2 hours of sleep at a time every night. I don’t have trouble sleeping but my husband wakes up at least every 2 hours sometimes more often. And he is on two types of meds that make him sleepy that don’t work. When he goes to the bathroom he turns the light on, makes all sorts of noise and then snores when he falls asleep. Gives me plenty of time to think about everything. If I could only list everything I think about every night I would have no death piles!!
I tried the vacation settings for several years without the extended handling time and I only had a few sales for the week. When I just change the handling time and put a message on my store header I get sales almost normal. If you have your handling time extended and you email the buyer to make sure they are good with the wait it shouldn’t make much difference with your sales. Unless someone buys something they needed yesterday!

I tried everything but my laptop would not recognize the printer. It was on, I could test print but my laptop said off line.It was a Brother but didn’t have the option of going directly to my laptop. After 2 days of trying everything that Brother suggested and tech support for Time Warner suggested I called Brother one last time and they said no problem. Do this, this and boom it worked. Turns out that Chrome had an update that affected my older printer AND it does make a difference who you talk to in customer support. Some know it and some just read from a script. Call your printer support and they should be able to help, eventually. I just updated my old printer with another Brother and this one has the ability to connect directly to my laptop if I ever have the same problem again.
The swap-bot site still exists but I don’t participate any more. It was supposed to be for handmade items swapped between like minded individuals. Several years ago I participated in a mystery swap with probably 10-12 people. The moderator drew names and matched up swappers and you got a box of “stuff” in a flat rate box. You had a price point that you were supposed to meet and you listed your sizes and color preference and whatever. Obviously my swap partner didn’t read that part. I got a box of very used clothes, too small, old balloons, junk jewelry and everything reeked of smoke, the clothes were cover in hair. I think she just rounded up stuff from her floor. Cured my need for mystery boxes.
It looks “gourmet” to me so add 10% to the list price 🙂
That looks like some sort of baker to me…chicken, apple or something. Could you put beer in the center? Most candles aren’t 2 inches wide that would fit this. Maybe???
We have this “hot shot” manager at our local Habitat Restore store and their prices have gone up dramatically since he started as manager. I overheard him talking to someone today who was complaining that a used saw blade was priced higher than it was at the big box store. The manager told him “that’s got an orange sticker so its 20% off”. I mentioned to the gentleman checking me out that ebay prices are not a good way to base your prices. He countered that they look everything up and price about 50% of what ebay is asking. They have had some Dansk Kobenstyle saucepans (well used) in the store for 6 weeks priced at $25 and $30. They are finally 60% off this week and they sold. I looked them up and they were priced higher than similar, used ones on ebay. But, they still have items that they have no clue as to what they are or their cost. I have picked up several items from their free box and sold them for $35 and $50. They think old software manuals are no good. Also the same on foreign language dictionaries, vintage physics books, electric typewriters and lots more things.
So the point is…they can’t price everything at top dollar. They miss a lot of things that they just don’t check or know about. -
