The letters AA are a check mark stamped on the weight by a visiting official from the local Weights and Measures office to confirm the weight was “true” and to prevent, as we would say in the U.K. “fiddling” i.e. fraud.
I have found quiet a few of these when metal detecting, the older they are the more check marks their are.
I can also remember when I worked in a shop that sold wood we would have a annual visit from the same government dept. to check the lenght of our yard sticks !

Slug trap – its sits in a bowl of beer you partailly bury it, the slug climbs in thru the hole to get the beer and drowns !

Hi from the U.K. I have a BOLO for you, womens stilleto shoes in VERY LARGE sizes, I wont be indelicate and hope not to offend anyone but they are normally purchased by people who wouldn’t try them on in a shop ;-).
Regarding natarul sharpening stones, no brands just look out for one that are irregular in shape, quiet often they are in a wooden box, lift them out and look at the bottom and see if they look like a natural rock face. Always list them on the GSP as mine almost always sell to someone in Russia. I always clean them up of all the old oil contamination with Oxy Clean. I don’t know what you would call it in the states but its a powder that you add in with your washing detergent.
I understand from the podcast that Jay has a new Ipad – I wonder if he will be trying listing/photographing with it ?
I always clean shoes and boots and if worth it I replace the laces. When I am at the car boot sale (no pun intended – you American guys would say Flea Market) – here in the U.K. I always look out for good quality boots, particularly hiking ones that are dirty. I then ask the the seller “how much are the muddy boots ?” I have had some fantastic bargains, top quality boots, very muddy for just a few pounds, take them home clean them up, new laces, and as my father would have said “Bobs your uncle” a nice profit !!
I think it could be a a baby feeder, scoop the wide end, feed from the narrow !

Great advice. I think I am going to try the Ipad – I am planning on getting a good used one. I dont think I could use a phone, its just too small for for me, I have hands like bananas !
