02/07/2018 at 12:37 pm in reply to: Late shipping seller performance doesn't seem to be accurately reading tracking #32423My tracking uploaded on time and late shipment rates have been hammered over the past few months on Ebay. I just had to go in and bulk edit over 8,000 listings to 2-day handling time because I’m concerned it could screw up my account if I keep it on 1-day. I haven’t even been TRS since their new changes to the program several months ago, so it doesn’t matter what my handling time is at this point.
I ship 6 days a week with scan forms. I bring all of my packages directly to the post office, and have an employee at the post office scan the forms and give them back to me with their official postage stamp showing date of shipment. All items are scanned at the point of drop-off.
My current stats:
Late shipment rate – 7.87%
42 of 534 transactions
Tracking uploaded on time and validated – 85.93%
Uploaded late: 74 – 13.70%My detailed buyer feedback rating is 5.0/5.0
A lot of my feedback from customers states “fast shipping.”My stats USED to be 90-95% tracking uploaded on time and validated before the TRS changes. I had a very low late shipment rate. Nothing has changed at all with my shipping methods. I had 1 day handling for years with higher stats that met their TRS expectations.
I just don’t want to deal with the glitches and drama surrounding shipping when absolutely nothing has changed on my end. My handling time is 2 days for Amazon, and according to their stats, my late shipment rate is 0%, and my tracking uploaded on time and validated is 96%. If this new 2 day handling time doesn’t fix the problem for Ebay, I’ll be really confused.

I can’t believe they have a twitter, and this is their blurb:
Faygo BeveragesVerified account
@Faygo
With over 50 flavors to choose from, Faygo has something for the whole family!50 flavors now? Whaaat? Drinking it makes you feel as if the enamel is going to come off your teeth.

Storage. #32393I feel like store categories are only good if you have a niche store, or have a few major focuses in a general store and want to give your store an appearance of being an actual store. My niche store has categories, sub-categories, etc,. My “general” store just has everything in the “other” category. I still get sales on both stores.
That being said, I have a few major focuses going on even in the “general” store, so I might eventually pop everything into somewhat broad categories in that store. There are less than 100 items currently in it, so it will be easy to do. If I had anymore listed than that, I probably wouldn’t bother.
I wouldn’t worry too much about putting things into categories if it’s a mixture of everything and you already have over 1,000 items listed. It would be pretty time-consuming to get everything cleaned up, when you could just spend that time listing instead.
01/31/2018 at 10:57 am in reply to: How are you shipping postcards internationally with the new USPS requirements? #31698Just went in and bulk edited all of my smalls that used to ship internationally for $3.50 to no international shipping. Luckily, they only accounted for 550 out of nearly 9,000 listings. The rest can still ship via First Class International Package rate for at least $12.50 Customers are willing to pay that for larger items. Postcards? No. 🙁
01/31/2018 at 10:52 am in reply to: How are you shipping postcards internationally with the new USPS requirements? #31697Just tried to use Ebay shipping for the first time ever. This is the rate they offered me to ship a flat via the package rate:
Postage cost: $13.75
Your eBay Discount (5%): -$0.69
Total:$13.06Looks like I’ll have to refund the customer and take off the international shipping option for smalls like postcards.
01/30/2018 at 3:29 pm in reply to: How are you shipping postcards internationally with the new USPS requirements? #31659From what I can tell, $12.50 via package rate. I wouldn’t want to risk sending it as a document at a lower rate.
I was hoping Ebay sould have some sort of special shipping rate like that stamp.com “Global Ambassador” program.
I had absolutely no Ebay sales yesterday until last night at 6 pm. Had 2 more by 11 pm. Woke up this morning to 8 total sales.
Now it’s the afternoon, and no sales again. Slow for the day.

01/30/2018 at 2:55 pm in reply to: How are you shipping postcards internationally with the new USPS requirements? #31653I don’t use Ebay shipping. I was actually hoping there was a workaround through Ebay shipping for this problem.
I use Endicia, and from what I can tell there is no way to ship this way anymore through their program.
I got a neutral feedback this week that said “fine.” Uhh, thanks? Lol.
Maybe Knights of Pythias? The Organization was founded in 1864. Fits the timeline.
Start off selling things around your house that you no longer want before thinking of investing outside cash in this. Figure out listing, shipping, payment procesess first.

Moose Lodge items are what I consider “fast-moving” ephemera items. If priced right and interesting enough, they can sell in under 24 hours. That has at least been my experience. They will of course take longer to sell if priced higher, but they should still sell based on location/graphics/etc,. The last one I listed a month ago sold within 24 hours for $10, for example.
I listed a piece of ICP ephemera over a month ago that I thought would’ve sold by now. It’s priced fairly, but no bites yet. Might have to wait for the Gathering of the Juggalos, heh.
It was mixed in one of my old paper boxes, so I have no idea where it came from. You find the strangest stuff sometimes…
An item ordered on the weekend has a ship-by date of Monday-Tuesday for a third party merchant. You can ship on Tuesday and still have it counted as being on time.
That sucks about slow delivery as a prime member. I ordered a bunch of items on Friday that got delivered earlier today. Another order I placed this morning got delivered a few minutes ago, as part of free prime shipping. I think the quality of delivery service really depends on where you live. :/
