Re my (non-Beta) color discrep return: Phone Reps agree Buyer chose wrong Reason, and that I needn’t pay for shipping. Rep said choose ‘Send the buyer a message’, so I asked Buyer to ship back w/ tracking. Buyer replied they’d ship tomorrow.
I called eBay back cause the Return case still reads ‘Take action by Sep 21’. The message sending option didn’t satisfy the beast. Rep said do not click ‘Accept the return’, as then I’d be responsible for all ship costs. Rep said to wait out 5 business days for the Buyer to upload tracking, and ignore any auto emails to take action! Ugh. Rep said its like this cause Buyer ‘chose to go this route’… Messy, and somewhat outside the streamlined Returns process.
I’ll report back when I receive item, and attempt a refund minus shipping…

Hi! Should I call eBay BEFORE, or AFTER I agree to a return for color discrepancy? (She’s claiming not as described; resulting in free two-way shipping.) I have a solid Buyer’s Remorse case with the color ‘brown’ mentioned three times throughout, though customer had imagined ‘wine’ (listed nowhere…). I’m sure I’ve heard/read the answer on here a hundred times before, but drawing a blank… Do I call eBay BEFORE or AFTER I agree to the return? Many thanks in advance!
