I got 28 listed this week. I was busy the early part of the week, but fizzled out at the end of the week. I had another laser tattoo removal session, and I was tired and sore from it. :/ I’ll be really glad when I’m done with this.
I am guessing the figure is a clown?

I have 1 kid that I homeschool. I recently stepped down from running the local homeschool group because OMG… Hell is truly other people. 250 families worth of flakey homeschoolers that all want events that are custom made for their little lives but contribute zero effort to making those events happen. Eeeeeeeeffffffff. It was like having another job. A really frustrating job that you make zero money at. I ran or helped run that group for years, and my son casually said recently “I had no idea you ran the homeschool group”. Are you kidding me, child?!
So yeah, busy. Crazy busy here, with just 1 kiddo. But laundry? I am on top of that $hit! Missing sock? I hunt that sucker down immediately. Laundry is folded as soon as it comes out of the dryer. Everything else might be a disaster in this house, but my laundry game is on point. Super proud of that fact!
I think it’s supposed to be a compliment, but the buyer is mostly trying to show off how “clever” they are. I’ve gotten a few comments like that, where the feedback is positive and the comment is weird. Those buyers get some odd kick out of leaving weird feedback. I kind of find people like that exhausting, but different strokes I suppose.
Oh man, I hope your kitty makes an appearance asap. š Stop worrying your mama, baby cat!
We lost our bonded pair of 17 year old kitties 3 years ago. They died 3 weeks apart, and we were all pretty shattered for a long time after. The first kitty had lung cancer and the second kitty I swear died of a broken heart without his brother. The vet and tech cried with me when we had to put the second kitty down.
It’s just so hard to lose our sweet little pets. They are such special friends and family members. <3
One or two negative or neutral feedback from an obvious loon on eBay doesn’t keep me from buying. The exception being if the seller matches the crazy comment with their own crazy followup. If the seller responds professionally or not at all, I will still buy from them. If they use the “respond to feedback” option to rant about the buyer, then I pass.
Oh Amatino, I am so sorry about your sweet pup. How lucky for the two of you to find each other. I’m sure she was so happy with you to love her and keep her safe. She knew she would always be safe with you. <3
I got 42 items listed this week.
I think a lot of people are lacking in truthiness (lol) when they talk about their profits vs expenses in the resale business. I found the eBay stores of some of the regulars from my local auction house, and they are not making nearly as much in profit as what they’d like others to believe.
Like, ok, you sold that item for $60 plus shipping. But you bought it for $45. I was there when you bought it! Enjoy your $8.64 in profit after you deduct fees and shipping supplies. Yes, profit is profit, but this seems like a really grim way to run a business. I know I have a lot more to learn about selling on eBay (I am no where near the level of folks like Ryanne and Jay), but dang, I’d totally walk away from a deal where I am tying up $45 just to make 8 bucks because I know I can take $45 and turn it into $200-500 easily!
I dunno. People are strange!
They really are beautiful. There was a bag full of old blue faience donkey beads in the box, too. I sold most of them but kept a few back for myself. No idea what I’ll do with them! I am usually too klutzy to wear stuff like this in jewelry!
I bought a box full of cool looking glass beads for about $30. I thought maybe I’d get $150 or so for the box on resale to crafters. After doing some research, I realized I had a box full of old African trade beads, and each bead would sell for $15 on average. I’ve sold only a small portion of my supply and already sold almost $400 in beads. I will probably make about $1000 over time.
If you cancel, I would wager that he will leave you negative feedback. You’ll also have a defect. If you ship the item, perhaps with a gracious handwritten note to soothe his ego, you may or may not leave you negative feedback, and you won’t get a defect.
I’d block him either way. If he leaves negative feedback, I’d report him to eBay.
I got 29 listed last week. I didn’t get as much listed as I hoped for because my son got himself good and grounded, which means lots of chores side by side with Mama. On the plus side, this place is now looking really clean, lol! Even my husband walked in today and said “Wow, everything looks really nice!”
I was able to list all of my already-photographed items this past week. I looked in my “pending” photo folder last night, and realized it was empty! Eeek! Now I need to get a new stack of stuff ready asap!
Velcro is one that gets flagged often.
I’m glad you posted this challenge. I got all the lures listed and 4 of them have already sold this week.
I was overcharged $1.84, same issue: I used a Rate A box but the email says I used a Rate B box. I sent an message to the email address listed on the original message I received. For only $1.84, I don’t really feel like sitting on the phone with them. Hopefully it can be resolved via email and I won’t have to call.
