Thanks for your help guys. I added the tracking and then called Paypal today. The rep was really helpful and immediately closed the case in my favor, I don’t think I had to talk to them for more than a few minutes. Way easier than I thought it would be
Tracking does say delivered, I did what you said Julie and told them to give it a day or two and they seemed to be understanding (other than opening up a Paypal case). Tracking shows it was delivered yesterday
Hey sonia, thank you so much for your advice! I had no idea the email support was different from the web interface. They ended up removing the negative feedback after I emailed them
Do you guys have a link to the facebook page you’ve been using ever since the call center has been down?
I probably should have just accepted the return to be honest. I denied it since I included measurements and it’s a shirt I’ve had for a while and it had very specific subject matter so I didn’t want to relist it. I’ll probably just accept returns in the future
On vintage items I’ve been listing more recently I put the size in the title as the modern size it most closely fits. Then I put in the condition specifics that it’s tagged x but fits a modern y. Most serious vintage buyers know to read the description/see measurements. Obviously it still won’t stop an INAD return but I feel it helps buyers that aren’t as keen on vintage sizing
Thank you Ryanne!
They are like mesh trucker hats, there’s no mesh in them though. They are collapsible now if that makes sense. Not sure if it would be safe to wash them or not
Have you guys ever sold them as is in the vintage hat category? They have pretty cool military graphics so I feel like someone could buy them as a display piece or something for their mancave. I would of course disclose that the mesh was disintegrating
Thanks Ryanne, do you think suede is the right material? Dont want to undersell it just in case its some weird animal leather or something
Here are the screws:
That’s an awesome shirt, if there’s none like that on ebay I’d list at 100 or 200 OBO. Huge collector’s following with Levi shit so I’d shoot for the moon
Awesome, thanks for the help guys!
Huh interesting, thanks for the tips guys! This is usually why I don’t do women’s clothes lol. This happened to be in the men’s section. Not too knowledgeable in this space, but hey you learn by making mistakes. I’ll probably end up returning it or pricing it at $20 Best Offer or something. I think you guys are on point for it being a boutique piece.
Also a tip on clothing, there’s a government website where you can look up the RN number (which all clothes should have): https://rn.ftc.gov/Account/BasicSearch . Sometimes it gives more info about the company/clothing item.
Looks like this company was an importer that probably supplied boutiques
I sell a lot of paper/flimsy things (video game manuals, stickers, large cards, etc). I’ve always found that putting the item in a clear poly bag, then sandwiching it between 2 pieces of cardboard and taping the polybag to one piece of cardboard and putting that in a bubble mailer works best. Never had a problem.
Yea all the tag images I saw on archive sites/articles were either for jeans or the sherpa-lined jean jackets which seem to have different types of tags
Here are some images of the union tag. It was hard to get an image of because its inside this really small pocket and for some reason its folded over and stitched on top of.
