Also honestly I would be surprised if eBay didn’t automatically roll over listings that have calculated shipping for first class/parcel to Ground Advantage. Changing them manually would be such a hassle
Thanks for the advice, I’m definitely going to switch to Pirate Ship for UPS from now on. I called eBay today to dispute an overcharge of $10, they said they would appeal it as a “one time courtesy”

Thanks for the feedback guys! Yea I was gonna price it pretty high since I really like it and its going to be a real pain to pack. Plus I couldn’t really find many in this style on eBay and different is usually good
Thanks for the insight Ryanne, I’m definitely going to ship with signature confirmation. Can I ask if you’d experience with insurance claims with Fedex/UPS? Have they went smoothly?
I actually did submit a request to get it removed and it got denied. Luckily I got a good rep via the chat last night that was able to get it removed. I actually did try eBay for business as well but never received a reply. Might just be hit and miss depending on the rep you get I guess
Appreciate the advice. Yea it’s a $35 item so if it’s truly broken I don’t want to have them ship it back and pay for return shipping. I’ve never had to file an insurance claim so hopefully they wouldn’t make them bring it in. I disclosed the box had some damage and it is possible that the buyer didn’t read the description and just isn’t happy with the denting on the box

For what its worth I sell like 80% clothing and I’ve never had a return due to hair. I do recommend purchasing a clothing brush if you’re going to be dealing in a lot of wool outerwear. For some coats a lint roller just won’t do anything if it has a lot of pet hair
But when it comes to clothing a buyer can always find a BS reason to return if they really want. Even if they do, its not worth sweating because if it sold once it’ll usually sell again. The only measurements I include are pit to pit and length, I almost never get any other requests for measurements (the only exception being jeans, but I still only just do waist and inseam)
Hey, I know I don’t post a lot on here but your podcast has helped me a lot throughout my reselling journey. I ended up dropping out of college 6 years ago or so to focus on reselling and there were many points where I was losing confidence in having a stable business, but your podcast really helped me center myself and think more about my processes and life in general. I enjoy a lot how you talk about the lifestyle of reselling and more so everything around it as well. I’ve learned so much from you not just on the reselling selling side but on the life side as well. Definitely will miss your podcast but will try to be more active in the forums in general. Thanks for everything you do!

Thank you for the advice Temudgin! I’ll probably price them around that. And yea Jay, the one I saw that sold for more had a small metal identification plate and looked a little more intricate. I feel like with items like this its just who wants to hold out longer to get that higher price
Thanks for your help guys. I added the tracking and then called Paypal today. The rep was really helpful and immediately closed the case in my favor, I don’t think I had to talk to them for more than a few minutes. Way easier than I thought it would be
