glad you linked to this. we have been watching the series from the beginning and i always wonder what happened at several of them. some are just too good/bad to be true or sustainable.
would love to know how you shipped/insured it as well.
glad to hear we make it sound effortless. it’s not, but we really enjoy it. i think it’s an amazing way to flex your design, hospitality and money making skills.
cool, thanks for the link.
wow that is impressive! can’t wait to see your listing. i think this will be a great rental for you and your guests!
cool! do you own the building? i think it’s going to be a great airbnb, you have an amazing location. do you have it listed already? care to share the link?
are you renting a whole apartment? do you live there and are renting just a room?
sure we have lots of stories, a majority of guests are great and courteous and clean with no issues. issues will happen, but they’re usually very minor.that being said, we provide makeup removal wipes and also hope that women who wear makeup bring their own stuff for removal as part of their daily routine. and small white washcloths are cheap to replace anyway.
yes i have seen other hosts do the dark washcloth for makeup thing. it is clever, but i still think it’s kind of gross. like, 100 ladies before you cleaned their makeup off with this, but you can’t see that because it’s black. yuck!
that sounds like an amazing neighborhood! perfect for an Airbnb. does Chicago have short term rental restrictions at all?
curious, how much did you pay for that freelancer via UpWork?
did she advertise as being an Airbnb consultant/listing writer?
interestingwhat neighborhood are you in in Chicago? if you don’t mind sharing. i think 2 nights min is good, but we have a friend in NOLA that is strictly 3 night min and she is always booked.

yeah we love that island, i think ikea just stopped making it too, which is super sad.
just saw that eaby is showing Send Offers on my active page now.
and they’re letting me send 500+ offers right now.
