Most of these I have heard of and enjoy some of them, I need to try some of the ones you all mentioned that I have not heard yet. It was odd that the ebay for business one stopped, I liked their seller spotlight podcast also that ebay had which is gone now too, it reminded me a little of Scavenger Life’s old interviews.
@junque-redux , @Lukastreasuretrove , @Sharyn , @Antique-Frog , that was very helpful information, thanks so much. @AntiqueFrog what you wrote was particularly helpful considering you have already experienced this in Europe and it sounds like it isn’t that big of a deal, I feel better about it and what decisions I make concerning it. Thanks.
I heard the European Union (I believe at start of 2024) will be requiring that all listings on ebay have the seller’s name, address, phone number and maybe email on EU ebay websites and is for all selling sites, not just ebay I believe.
I listen to the podcast, “eBay the right way”, and I have heard the guests and host mention Scavenger Life and Jay and Ryanne before. Pretty cool.
I posted something on the inform consumers act that takes effect on eBay June 27th over on random thoughts – what did you learn about your business this year section and I wanted to make sure folks see it , here is link to the forum https://www.scavengerlife.com/forums/topic/what-did-you-learn-about-your-business-this-year/
A similar kind of thing was brought up a couple of years ago and may have been since. It is about a law, not sure if it was same one discussed before, but it is a new law that takes effect June 27th 2023. It is The INFORM Consumers Act, They were talking about it on the podcast ‘ebay for business’ episode 230. What they were saying on the podcast is “for any seller that reaches an annual total of $20,000, ebay is required to include your name or company name and full physical address in purchase confirmation emails and order details”. They went on to say “there are some exceptions that allow us to share a partial address with buyers if you meet the criteria for sharing a partial address with buyers you will be able to request an exception prior to The INORM Consumers Act effective date of June 27, 2023.” They said information on this is on the site, here is a link with more info on it. https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/resources/inform-consumers-act .
Copy and paste the link if it does not click.
Finally getting close to 2000 listings, December sales picked up for me, very thankful for that. Hopefully will have a good January.
I agree UPS is good for larger stuff, I have been using them more lately.
This has likely been covered already, but with the new usps shipping rate for padded flat rate envelope, it appears cheaper for customer for a 2 pound package to just offer usps parcel select ground for a package 2 pounds. Anyone else changing their 2 pound shipping option for items they normally offered the usps padded flat rate envelope to now offer usps parcel select ground?
I have been noticing USPS shipping has been really fast lately when shipping in US to US, regardless if it is priority, media, first class. Has anyone else having this experience?
I did a google search and there appears to possibly be an artist named Kathleen Schallock , (note the C in the name). Perhaps there is a misspelling somewhere? This might get you closer.
Try a google image search of “Kathleen Schallock art” using all three words . May be a completely different person, but may be worth a look.

Has anyone else experienced the spring update where you no longer see lifetime views on an item but only views for the last 30 days?
I saw this video and it made me think of opportunity for an ebay lifestyle in small towns. Apparently there are many small towns in rural areas in North Carolina (away from Charlotte, Raleigh, Wilmington, Asheville etc.) that are struggling and have super low priced housing. Here is the link to the video.
@Jay this link should have a switch at the bottom of the list that can turn on and turn off “Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer” feature.
https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirementsIf someone else already answered this, my apologies.
It does seem like they may be expecting to tweak it as they go, because that feedback box is right there and I would guess many are using it.
