Number of items listed this week: 40Got back to consistent listing and lookie there, my sales were way up. Sometimes it is really simple. Wasn’t my biggest sale of the week but it brought me great joy – uncovered a Choose Your Own Adventure promo button for the book series. It was probably worn by the librarian running a School Book fair back in the day. I was ALL about Book Fairs when I was in school. Just made me happy.
I echo everyone’s thoughts on finding new inventory in the new world. It will be an adventure. I shopped my own store and broke up about 20 lots I had listed a long time ago. 20 lots will equal about 75 new listings.
I’m also all about parting stuff out recently. Bought a new Surround Sound system for the new house so have all the pieces listed now from the old one (sold 2 already). And found a Toy/display piece that was broken so I stripped it and am selling each clothing piece and all of the accessories individually. Will see how it goes.

I apologize to everyone, every time I move real estate seems to go crazy. Not really but I was in the midst of the insane market myself specifically in the Luray area. Took me forever to find something I liked and was willing to pay the asking price for. Sold my NoVA home in less than a few hours on the market for an all cash offer. Paid off my new home and have some extra money to cover the normal new home expenses of repairs/fixes/updates/changes/new stuff.
I can’t speak for others as I have no interest in AirBnB but I was ready to get out of NoVA for a LONG time. With full time telework now an option, it was the time to make the move. I’m still within reasonable distance of DC for the few trips I will need to make but I might as well be living in another universe day to day compared to a booming DC suburb.

Number of items listed this week: 25Nice week with 2 big sales. Got lots of work done today to prep for a lot of listing (for me) next week. Photographed the end of a consignment lot of Hockey programs for a friend of mine and got drafts at least started for all of my random items that I decided to list after unpacking them. Have about 150 items ready to list. That will put me about 100 short of my goal of 2000 items for the year. Not too bad considering I moved in September.

I actually went to a thrift store, it has been months since I did that due to moving and then unpacking. I really enjoyed looking around. Good to keep in scavenger mode. Found 2 small items that I paid for with coins in my car.
I also finally visited Broad Porch on Main Street. Such a cozy joint. I had an excellent Hot chocolate out on the back porch (which was pretty broad). Next time I stop in I am getting a cupcake or one of the other goodies in the glass case at the counter.

Had a very tough week this week, having to say goodbye to my sweet pup after 11 of the best years. I miss him so much. The good memories far outweigh the bad so I’m trying to focus on that but the new house seems pretty empty right now.
I had gotten back into listing after the move and was in a nice groove when everything happened. I think I’ll be picking up again this week. The process and work is something I enjoy to focus on.

Number of items listed this week: 0Back after the move was completed. It was nice to shut down Ebay for a little more than 2 weeks. I shut down completely not offering sales since I wanted to make sure all my items made the move intact. Once I got my shelf back up, I turned my store back on and sold something that day. It was cool to hear the cha-ching sound effect at the new house.
The move means that I have a huge box of new items that I will be listing. It is all stuff that if I wasn’t a trash elf would have been donated. Now it will help pay for stuff we need at the new place and other expenses.

I found a sealed 2014 Topps Update Series MLB 10 pack at the thrift. I picked it up and looked at it. It was sealed but the box was a bit dented. I figured 2014 would have been long enough for some of those rookies to make a name for themselves. Then I saw it was a Target exclusive pack and it included a patch card in each box. I had a coupon so I figured I would take a chance on it.
When I got home I dug in a bit more and saw prices all over the place, so I priced it high with offers turned on and waited. It got watchers right away. Then it sold out of the blue.
When I did research I was laughing because the last time I cared about baseball a Doc Gooden rookie was the “must have” card (at least for me as a Mets fan). And I think the big regular card in this pack potentially would be a Jacob de Grom rookie, a superstar Mets pitcher.

Get well soon Retro! Be safe everyone. My MIL has it too. Luckily she has been vaccinated since she works in a doctors office. For her, it has just been a bad cold. She says she is already feeling better. Unfortunately she has to isolate for 10 days which means not getting paid for 10 days.

Number of items listed this week: 25Recovered from crazy week. Was proud of myself for listing 25 items. Feels like consistent listing is the easiest way to keep Ebay’s algorithm happy. I’ve experimented a bit and found that sales are more consistent when I am listing. When I’ve shut the store and not done anything, my sales always return right after I send offers and list some things again. Of course my salea are no where near where most of you all are so YMMV.
