Wow, that’s pretty crazy…and a bit pretentious.
I don’t generally advertise that I’m a reseller, but I won’t lie if asked. I’ve seen some staff discussing reselling with others in a pretty positive manner, but I fear that if they start taking note of the things we buy, they may learn to mark up the prices over time.
They have no way to enforce what I do with an item after I buy it, but I certainly don’t want to run the risk of being banned from a store. That would of course be a bad business move for them. They marked an item at a price. If it sells, they should be happy.05/24/2019 at 1:17 pm in reply to: Easiest/Cheapest Way I've Found to do My Numbers and Get Net Profit. #62407Very cool, thanks for pointing it out.
My own spreadsheet is very similar, but lacks the automatic pull-in of data direct from eBay.
For now, inputting the data myself isn’t so difficult, but as I grow, this might be a great tool to upgrade my game with.
Thanks.Christine, thanks.
Ya, I drive A LOT for work and listen to at least a segment of his podcast every day…when I’m not listening to Scavenger Life that is. 🙂
As a registered nurse with just a fleece payment, you are well on your way to financial freedom! That’s awesome.
One of my really good friends is from Pittsburgh originally and my aunt used to live in Sewickley. I did a sleeping bag weekend for potential students at Carnegie Mellon and really wanted to go there, but the expense was simply way out of my league. I started on the Dave plan early in life and decided on a college I could afford instead. In hindsight, I’m really glad I made that decision.-

Yes, you are correct. It’s probably 4 or 5 of my items where this becomes an issue and I’m only applying this policy to those. For example, I have a 2 pound Lion King plush that I didn’t realize was showing as a 40 dollar shipping price to folks cross country. Doh! Having changed the policy now, the shipping is back to reasonable for long distance folks, but now the closer people who I will ship priority to regardless will think it’s a 9 day shipping time. It’s not a major issue, but since this is the “recommendation section”, I do think the ability to set shipping policy by zone would be a help.

Welcome!
I’m somewhat new myself and the folks here have been awesome.I’m also a big fan of Dave Ramsey. I’m on baby steps 4 and 6 (no 5 since no kids college to worry about) and all my eBay profits are being thrown at my house. My goal is to have it paid off in 5 years.
Good luck!
~ChristianThanks all. I did do a quick search before posting and saw some posts mentioning legos, but nothing really in detail. I’ll dig a little deeper now having been told there is a more in depth thread somewhere.
I guess there are options depending on the work I want to put in. I was curious if anyone had done the deed of parting out sets and whether in hindsight it was worth the trouble. Thanks for the pointer about the part numbers on the pieces..that will definitely help.
There is one mega bloc set in this mess, which should be easy enough to distinguish and separate. I think the play mats can also easily be sold separately and can probably get me up to half my investment back.
Guess what I’ll be doing this weekend? LOL.
I’ve definitely mentioned my dissatisfaction with the policy both via email and the last time I had to call. I’ll probably be in shock if they actually listen to customers and decide to cancel the policy. A good shock, but shock nonetheless. 🙂
I could definitely see that being an issue. I sometimes watch items that I’m competing against. Now that I think of it, I rarely watch an item I have any intention to buy! I could see that getting confusing if I see an offer for an item that matches my own.
As a general rule, I research the feedback left by others so I don’t accept any offers from obviously troublesome buyers. That would save me in a case like this, but before I started doing that, I could easily see my itchy trigger figure accepting an offer to purchase by accident. I’d certainly understand if it happened and another seller messaged me to apologize and ask to cancel.Awesome! That turned out to be a great find! Never even occurred to me that you could call the company to ask them directly about authenticating. Did you just call a main number and ask?
The website I was referring to is https://www.denimbro.com/. There is so much information on denim to be found here. Lots of pictures, info, history, etc. Could be useful for others in researching a find.
Congrats again. Let us know what you sell it for!

Hi. I’m on the road on my phone, so I can’t do any real research right now. That said, I just went through a process to research the authenticity of some jeans. I discovered that Levi’s did some reproductions in the 90s called the Levi’s Vintage collection or LVC. Google your jacket with that terminology. I also found a great web forum called denim Bros which had a lot of great info. Sorry I can’t provide links right now. I can look more when I get home tonight or tomorrow morning. Good luck!
That’s it! Mine’s black, and the interior is a little different, but that’s clearly the same style.
Well done and thank you!
I searched for nearly an hour on eBay solds. Guess my eyes were going cross or something.
I really really appreciate it.
Sadly it’s not some super rare vintage multi-hundred dollar case…but I’ll take a $30 profit any day.
Cheers!

Thanks. Glad the pic finally worked. 🙂
This is half the fun of reselling…the discovery of what the heck some of these things are! I stumble on briefcases quite a bit so it doesn’t hurt to become more knowledgeable of them. That’s really weird. I’ve never had issues sharing a Google pic before and it shows in my post and by using the link I made even when I’m logged out of Google. The joys of technology I guess…
Here is the imgur link:
I have searched on worthpoint and in ebay solds and haven’t found anything. I don’t have TerraPeak yet, but I’ll probably be upgrading to the next level store next month.
Anyway, hopefully this link works. Not a great pic, but just a quick snapshot showing the lock, the interior, and the initials under the handle.
Thanks for working with me.

Hi. Thanks for the responses. I’m not sure what’s going on. I have the image in my Google drive and I copied the public link to the pic and it shows up in my post above just fine on my end. I don’t have an imgur account.
This is the direct link to the photo on Google. Does this work?
Oh yes, I don’t have any plans to sell. The memory is worth far more than the return of my now deflated $20 spending power. LOL.
