Returns: 1Interesting podcast. On slow weeks I think I make $3 an hour. However, when I thrift I look for stuff for my husband, kids, mom, myself, the house. If I have poor sourcing, but find a $100 sweater for my daughter and a $130 jacket for my son, I’m still making a low per hour rate, but it’s great. I double checked again this year. All my now adult kids are good with scavenged gifts. Sometimes they are a miss and of course there’s no returning. On the other hand my daughter said, “It’s great. I get interesting things and no one ever has the same thing.”
Weird thing about this week. I only sold 1 small item from Friday-Sunday. But happy with the week total
I’m trolling all the Poshmark videos, absorbing info on different brands. Looking at starting up in Christmas break if I think it’s worth it. Ebay’s shirt sales are down 10% year to year. I think the 10% migrated to Poshmark
Amazing week. 4th quarter has finally arrived! Sold as many items as in the whole month of November!
No promoted items, but several on sale. I’m sure that Ebay jumpstarted my sales with their 10% off sale. Bought 7 items on that day, passing on the sales Very thankful

Now we just have to put our heads together and figure out what’s going on. What’s changed? Two years ago I’d be shipping out 15-20 this week. Maybe more. I had a FB reminder picture come up. The picture showed the 7 items that I was shipping out in one day. And I had less than 250 items back then

Oh and I forgot to give the price of my lowest item $14 for a big bag of Furby’s. They are typical of the things that I won’t buy anymore. It Takes too long to list for too little. Returns: 2 The boots I understand. My other return just makes me ache. The buyer of the goose down duvet insert started messaging me all kinds of questions AFTER the sale. She was saying that it wasn’t worth the price. I could just tell that she wanted to back out. I was fine with that. Wrote her at night that I would normally have boxed and labelled the duvet, but I was trying to give her time because she sounded hesitant on multiple emails. She decided to go for it and I shipped it. 24 hours after delivery she’s claiming that it is way too small To prove to me that it was wrong she sent me a pic of her duvet cover tag??? I know it fits the PB king size duvet cover that I took it out of. Kinda think it fit hers too. If she wins on INAD it will make my last week’s profit a negative number

I’m not surprised as slow Thanksgiving Weekend sales. For me that’s always been slow. But November is usually my best month overall. This year definitely underwhelming. Lower than past years.My husband and I were trying to figure out the reason for the underwhelming numbers. I wonder what you think? 1) In a good economy are people moving away from buying used clothing, mugs, shoes… 2) Is Poshmark starting to take a nibble out of Ebay?

Cash in AND space in the closet is a good thing
Average Price Sold: $75Coolest sale: A handful of misc mid century tourist brochures and maps from Seville, Spain for $25. Paid $1 for a box of ephemera and am slowly selling a bunch of weird stuff. I think the picture sold this. The map would look great framed for decoration

Did you catch the numbers? I did not included the cancellation and the slow hasn’t-cleared Paypal echeck items in my sales list. 2 items sold! Previous years at this time I was averaging at least 1 item a day in November. In previous years I only had 2/3 or 1/2 the listings that I have now. And my listings are better stuff now than the 3 year old stuff. Thankful for the duvet sale, but a little nervous

Reducing prices on clutter of old, apparently low value items that have been living on Ebay for years. Some things will get pitched by Thanksgiving if they don’t move. I know that J&R don’t usually pitch anything. But once something gets to $9 and I’ve been storing it for 3 years I start getting crabby with it.Early bird for once. Oops, that means I can’t cut and paste someone else’s info.

I’m totally not thrilled about this 4th quarter week
Highest item St John’s pants for $38. Little on the low side for these, but I’ve had them up for 3 years and yes I needed that sale
Returns 1 started with INAD because they thought the bill of the cap wasn’t wide enough. For what? I think it’s buyer’s remorse. They haven’t sent it back yet and I will be calling as soon as their return time is up
Listing Challenge ALL your death piles? Amazing and jealous. My death piles are still brimming. And full of stupid $10 $15 maybe $20 items. My challenge is to stay interested. I’m throwing anything that’s at all questionable. Bundling anything that works together. What else can I do to list this stuff quickly.SilverFox I’m mainly listing on the computer, but taking pictures on the phone. The jacket is finally down in price. But the cup and other items that I repriced yesterday, is still at the old price 24 hours later.????
Is anyone else having difficulty with changing prices on items? I’ve been marking down some old probably too pricey things. When I check later, sometimes much later, nothing has changed. Told a customer that I was marking down a $300 jacket. I know I marked it down. But he doesn’t.
I always adjust the shipping time when we have hurricane coming. The “nice” thing about a hurricane is it gives you plenty of warning compared to other disasters. Francis, a Category 2 had us without everything for a week-mail, electric, phones. One unexpected thing that we got post-Hurricane was a curfew! 8pm-6am Felt 10 years old, but it meant no looting.
