I have removed Ebay international
I am up to half a dozen packages that haven’t made it to their destination. I have to refund purchase price + International shipping fees. I then have to file with them as a separate shipper, which is not an easy process. They don’t refund shipping fees.
Also you are paying ebay and paypal fees on the international shipping.
Items are still selling through GSP
My 2 cents.
I tried international shipping. I have had to personally refund 3 items which are parked in warehouses in the US. You have to file a claim and they don’t refund the shipping cost. I’m out the item and the money. One item has been sitting in Chicago since April 17th.
And Ebay customer service treats this as a separate shipping company.
(Also I have never received refunds from the claim and it’s an annoying process)
With Global Shpping Ebay deals with all that.Yes! This happens to me, maybe once every 2 months. It’s very frustrating. I list directly on EBAY and sell one of a kind items, not multiples.
I contact the customer–“I’m so sorry this item was inadvertently relisted after being sold”. So far they have been understanding.THIS!!
I have 3 cases right now. When I contacted Ebay it was a total mess–different answer each time–all 3 were Ebay International.
Not only when I asked them to step in, they refunded the customer with MY money and told me I had to fill out some form which is impossible to find and at best they will only refund the cost of the item–Not the shipping, and with Ebay international you pay the international shipping price.
And the customer overseas can’t track the Ebay international number.
Grr…ArghI listed over 100 items today (slaying the death piles)
Someone just messaged to ask about missing pictures–When I checked at east 20 listings are missing picturesi’m no longer a Top Rated Seller and it has not made any difference. I still get discounted shipping. My income has not been affected.

Please note you have to use your 200 free listings before July 28th!One day at a time. At the end of every day I pack that days orders. My mailman picks them up at my side door while I’m at work.
To be fair–I am currently a teacher of teachers, without my own students, so no homework and lesson planning.Jay, Yes I work alone. I drag my husband along when i need heavy lifting.
T-Satt– I list in waves–and it shows in my sales. I’ve listed 400 items since school got out, but there are times when I go weeks without listing. My best sales months are the summer when I list the most.
I have a tv in the listing room and I just binge watch while I list. ( and list and list and list…)The social thing was annoying.
I had started listing stuff on Ebay too and in that September 2016 I sold 14 items for 268$ profit which is a much better profit margin (Poshmark that same time period was 55 items/500$). I started by cross posting and was off Poshmark by the end of November. Also if that put me in the top 10% of sellers on Posh there wasn’t much higher to go. .
To compare my September 2017 sales on Ebay alone were 63 items 1040 profit.
I went with the work smarter not harder theoryI did Poshmark 2 summers ago.
In September of 2016 I sold 55 items for a profit of 500$
According to their stats that put me in the top 10% of sellers
Posting is easy
You have to share a lot You have to share your own items constantly to keep them high in the search engine results–This is necessary. To increase you sales/exposure you are supposed to follow/share other peoples items–This is optional.
I find the whole social aspect annoying
ALL conversations are carried on in the comments section. Completely public and you can’t edit.
They can make offers privately. Very high percentage of lowballers.
There is an expectation of a pretty package/something extra/Thank you note. Just shoving something in a polymailer would be considered quite apalling.
There are no returns but if someone is dissatisfied they can complain and poshmark will make you return their money. You are allowed to appeal the complaint.
I know it has changed since I stopped selling–I applied to be a Posh ambassador and they turned me down because I wasn’t social enough. I was annoyed and switched everything to Ebay. About a year ago they contacted me because of my “great” standing and offered me Posh ambassador–after a year of NO social interaction.I’m on with ebay now. Only 15 minutes on hold–What is up with their hold music?

Side note–He said there is no report of the disappearing pictures from last week as a known issue
